Finally messed around and got on inforoo. Long time listener, first time caller. 2025 will by my lucky Bonnaroo #7!
Favorite roo sets of all time: Parrotfish (2022) Muse (2018) Kendrick Lamar (2023) Neal Francis (2024) Jacob Collier (2023) St. Paul and the Broken Bones (2018) The Lonely Island (2019) The Head and The Heart (2017) John Mayer (One of these days)
Never really ranked the top shows of all of the Bonnaroo's I went to. That's really tough and I'd forget way too much shit. But off the top, Phish in 2012 and 2019 are up there. Billy Strings in 2022. Jacob Collier in 2023 as you have it. Pretty Lights Thursday set this year. Spectrum Road in 2012. Korn in 2023 was great. Black Star in 2012,

Name: Jack Johnson What my user name means: I think the era of music from 1978-1984, aka the post-punk/new wave era, is one of the most creative and fascinating eras in pop music. that and when I chose my name I was entering a different time of my life. thus postjack From: Mobile, AL, lived in Auburn while at college (the first time) Favorite Bands: Phish, New Order, Joy Division, Ryan Adams, King Crimson, Genesis, Miles Davis, Art Blakey, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Ween, Radiohead, Wilco, Slayer, Pink Floyd, The Fall, The Smiths, MMJ, Beatles, The Cure, deadmau5, TMBG, and others I'm sure I'm leaving out. My All-Time Favorite Artist: Either Phish or Joy Division/New Order Favorite Books: The Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson, City of Saints and Madmen by Jeff Vandermeer, Shriek by Jeff Vandermeer, anything by Joe Abercrombie Favorite Movies: Spinal Tap, Lord Of The Rings Favorite TV shows: The Wire, The Wire, The Wire, Battlestar Galactica, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Parks and Rec, The Office, pretty much all the usual stuff. First Concert Attended: Metallica, the Load tour at the Biloxi Arena when I was 15. Still one of my favorite live music experiences. But it was Phish in 2000 at Lakewood when I was 18 that truly cracked my brain open and set me on the path I'm on today. Last Concert Attended: Trombone Shorty's 2nd Annual Funky Christmas Jam, this past Christmas Eve in New Orleans Bonnaroos Attended: 2003 & 2004 Bonnaroo Wishlist: a vendor with some sort of vegan pasta dish with a peanut sauce
bizarre that i said LOTR was my favorite movie. i don't remember that at all. also re: bonnaroo wishlist i guess this was the six months when i was vegan. other than that i haven't grown much as a person in the past dozen years.

Did you ever get that vegan pasta dish with peanut sauce? That sounds delish

I don't think so? But yesterday for lunch I had a Thai peanut salad that was very good.
Hey everyone, I'm here because I wanna talk about bonnaroo lineups for the next 9 months. Just getting started here, but I've been going to festivals for years, back to day/city fests like Warped Tour and Rock the Bells. I've been to Roo a couple of times, in 2019 and 2023, looking to go again in 2025. Glastonbury is my white whale, hopefully one day I find my way over there.

Welcome to the chaos that is inforoo. I’ve been to a few Rock The Bells back in the day too. Miss those older lineups. I’m very stoked for Roo25. See ya on The Farm!!!

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah those old RTB lineups were great, I got to see RATM in NYC back in 2006ish. I am totally locked in for roo this year, so I'm hoping some of the lineup rumors I've seen might be true, like bino, tame and glass animals. I'll be going back this year no matter what though, see you on the farm!

Yo! I was there that year. RAGE, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, MF DOOM, Sage Francis, Mr. Lif, Wu-Tang soooo sick!!!
Can’t wait for Bonnaroo next year. I’m actually seeing Gambino on Monday. Pretty fucking hype!!!!
Hi inforoo, Tennessee native, two-time roo-er (22, 23), and first time poster here. Feeling like finally wading in and participating in the discussion, I spend enough time reading during roomor season that I might as well contribute. Went to my first festival in 2015 (Music Midtown, saw Van Halen with Dave, got me hooked for life) and a few others here and there, looking forward to being back on the farm next year. What else? Favorite artists? QOTSA, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Tame Impala, Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Paramore, on another vein Mac Ayres, another one Tobi Lou, Smino, uhhh... I could keep going for much longer than anyone wants. Happy to be here!
