"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didn’t understand the assignment. I told them they didn’t understand life." — John Lennon.

Favorite Bands: Stones, Clash, Hendrix (Band of Gypsies especially), Neil Old, Dylan (his blue period), Black Keys, Radiohead, Otis Redding, Santana
My All-Time Favorite Artist: Mick Taylor-era Stones simply can't be beat. Just put out a decent concert video from 71-72 already! Chickenquacker Blues is cool but good lord, enough is enough. Quack Allen Klein! (end rant)
Favorite Books: I can't say I have ever had a more pleasurable reading experience than Kavalier and Clay, but Fear and Loathing blew the doors off my psyche at age 16 so I got to stick with that. Runner up: anything by Chomsky, most especially transcribed talks and interviews.
Favorite Movies: 70s American renaissance: All the President's Men, Chinatown, The Long Goodbye, The Conversation, Parallax View, etc.
Favorite TV shows: Wired is hands down the best show ever (ok, Sopranos may have better character sketches but it simply does not have the breadth of subject matter or the scope of interest. Name another show that completely drops characters from one season to another to focus a different aspect of crumbling urban existence. Never been done before and probably never will again. Genius!)
First Concert Attended: Motley Crue (omlat omitted) baby! 1989, I think, the Dr. Feelgood tour. Tommy Lee rode his drumset out to the middle of the arena and played a drum solo whil it spun around. And then he repelled down to the arena floor. I'd like to see Bear Grylls try that!
Bonnaroos Attended: '05- The Black Crowes show is still one of my favs. '07- missed the epic '06 with Beck and Radiohead because I got married at the end of May. '08. '09. missed
Bonnaroo Wishlist: Radiohead come back sometime before I'm old and incontinent! Also, the Stooges with maybe Jack White sitting in (the Detroit angle) on Funhouse, the reformation of the Raconteurs (their set at Roo '08? was pretty epic, even when Jack concussed himself on the floor monitor), P-Funk (but so many of the classic lineup are dead, too sad), another round of Dweezil plays Frank, and any new band bringing the hip shaking, earth quaking Rock and Roooll!
I hope my first post wasn't too Leno for a noob, so don't quack my Leno too hard. Leno. Quack. Coco. And I don't care.
