i need to post this in order to release some of my frustration. This was from June 28, the day the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Health Care Act. "Enjoy":
Original Post:
"what the quack!!!!!! Obama literally just quacked our country!!!"
5 random comments generally stating they were shocked and sad about the ruling
original poster: "Google obama care. And make sure you're registered to vote. "
8th comment: "In the goat ass capitolized an africanized. The modern day hitler, welcome socializm the new obamarica. You ask for it democrats you got it." ??????
10th comment, by same guy as 8th comment: "Wishfull thinking aparently more people in this country are fond of welfare than working."
So then I looked at this guy's facebook page, which is mostly blocked, but I can still see his general interests and favorites. These are some interesting things I found:
His favorite activity is 10mm Automatic His favorite artist is Ted Nugent and Zac Brown Band He went to a private school called REBUL Academy He claims to speak Swahili and MEXICAN
People's stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I am a Texas resident and am greatly outnumbered when it comes to politics so I generally keep my mouth shut, even though I am screaming on the inside. Did you see the post about "Trump on Obamacare?" It was so riduculous, and even more ridiculous that people here were buying into it and thinking what he said was of value.

By people "here," I mean people I know, in Texas....crazy ass Repubs that don't know their d*ck from their a$$...sorry for the rant, it just pisses me off sometimes that they don't bother to learn any facts. TX is definitely one of those states too that just says, "oh, no need to vote, we'll go Repub anyway." Annoying. Ok I'm done.

Back to bad quotes!!
Try being surrounded by crazy Republicans in a liberal state. When you're involved in Occupy and happen to be somewhat of a socialist.
It's an interesting experience.
I lost track of how many status update conversations get hijacked by 9-11 Truthers going into their own little depressing world. It's not even so much what they say, but how consumed these people are by it - and how depressing these people really are.
I'd post a few of them here, but tl,dr version: it's one big circle jerk about how we're all going to die because some bankers want us to.
"I care more about my right to bare arms than my right to freedom of speech, because my right to bare arms protects my freedom of speech! If you don't agree, and say you will stop at nothing, prepare for war; and I sure hope you know how to shoot."

ugh.
Funny thing is this same asshole, when pressed, will say he just thinks they're cool to collect and he doesn't care about the fact that they're killing machines. After he just threatened to shoot whoever tries to take 'em away. Douche.

I'm not sure what is worse, being surrounded by crazy ass, "Obama's gonna steal my guns!!" Repubs in a totally Repub state or being in your situation, LD...Not to mention I can't stand election year around here. In '08 I completely covered my windows and yard in Obama signs. I was certain my house was going to get burned down and how it didn't I'll never understand.
Are you still involved in Occupy? Congrats for standing up, I made it out a few times here but my job is super demanding and when it comes down to it, I have a mortgage to pay for, not to mention my love of my life, my boxer.
I'm in Occupy Hartford (Conn.), and while I'm not as active as I was before - it's still an interest of mine. It's just become ridiculous how things have wound up. I was in nearby Occupy Worcester (Mass.), but it disintegrated after months of infighting, power struggles, and people more focused on pet projects than the Occupy mission. Meanwhile Occupy New Haven (Conn.) to the south is good at fighting cops and getting arrested. Bunch of Black Bloc wannabes.
I was involved in organizing major actions in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire over the winter and spring. Since mid-May I've scaled way back on what I've done. Work and fests are more important.

I am a liberal, but completely against gun control. The poster in the quote worded it in an ignorant way, but the fact is, gun control laws aren't going to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. It's going to keep them out of the hands of law abiding citizens. There are rural parts in this country where help from the police is more than an hour away. People deserve the right to protect themselves. The problem isn't that people are allowed to carry guns, it's that there are way too many people who don't respect the weapons for how truly dangerous they are.

There - fixed it for you. Not all Rethuglicans are crazy or don't know their d*ck from their a$$. I know a bunch of Democraps that are that way also.
What always gets me is the blatant finger pointing by any political party. Just because you are a card carrying Democrap - it doesn't give you any right to be nasty about Rethuglicans and vice versa - that's part of the problem in this world.
Everyone thinks that whatever they believe is better than somebody else's beliefs and there is a total lack of respect for other people. Maybe if we got rid of the labels and people just thought for themselves instead of a political party, the US would get its shit together and do the right thing for everyone instead of one party or the other.
Fact is - if we all treated our fellow man the way we wanted to be treated - the world would be a better place. Idealistic?? Maybe. True?? Only time will tell. I keep hoping.
completely proud of my cousin for his recent post today... until the last sentence.
"Well I got to use my EMT skills today. A woman had her wheel fall off her car on HW 49 near Hattiesburg and flipped several time destroying some signs before it stopped. I ran up just out of instinct and helped make sure she lived until the ambulance arrived. She was in the passenger seat somehow when I got there. Come on, civilians, wear that seatbelt; the China-men put it there for a reason."
a different cousin posted this hilarious gem of a picture of a supposed sign in someone's yard, stating:
"My next door neighbor wants to BAN ALL GUNS! Their house is NOT ARMED! Out of respect for their opinions I promise NOT to use my GUNS to protect THEM!"
The off season is all about thread derailments, imp.
One thing I've learned in the last week or so: Bonnie, Flanz, EAP, and myself are all pros at derailing threads. No thread is safe from my baby lazers.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
