i just emailed american talent agency pretending to be a promoter looking to sign several of their clients on the weekend of bonnaroo. they didnt answer my earlier emails, this wont result in confirmations but could result in possibilities. their roster is mostly hip hop and includes newer rappers like young jeezy, luda, rick ross and big boi also alot of sick older rappers like dmx, krs one, biz markie, busta rhymes, funkmaster flex, bun b and big daddy kane

He confirmed in a previous tweet. I understand the need to try and make it not true but this is happening. The sum of the evidence at this point makes it nearly a certainty. I really just hope at this point that they are the Friday act and not the Saturday act. I'm really holding out hope for something amazing but it is seeming less and less likely.
I haven't seen RHCP in decades, is it really that bad of a show lately? Is it just energy missing or more?

missing isnt neccesarily the right term because klinghoffers a great guitarist. frusciante was integral to writing music but he wasnt a huge part of their concerts, or the image of the band. the band is still the rhcp its not like how axl still calls it guns n roses without slash

i just emailed eddie vedders managment looking to book him on june 8th and it said they will call me in next 48 hours. the internet makes it way to easy to lie about who you are. hopefully i can get him to not hang up when i say i just want to know if hes playing roo
I'm going to stop clicking on this thread. Every time I view it, my heart breaks a little more.
see my sig
Doesn't bother me a bit. When Cut Copy, M83, Girls, and Real Estate are all ruled out before the lineup even drops, it should bother me. Especially when I was counting on M83 and Cut Copy for late nights so much. I'm not making absolute statements based on conjecture. This is a bit more factual.

ha i gave him a fake name and my email address doesnt indicate my name. hopefully eddie vedder has nice management. should i register acentertainment@gmail.com and start emailing artists?

The point is, your just as dramatic as the rest of us. We take this sh!t seriously. And when our favorite band is not going to be there, we get upset. And when a band we don't want is there, taking up a headliner spot, that ticks us off too.
I wanted Cut Copy bad as well. WTF? Are they just avoiding AC completely?
Wait, are you telling Cut Copy and M83 are not going to be on the farm? F*ck it!!!! I'm skipping Roo this year. AC always drops the ball. Roo can just keep being Coach's little b*tch.

Got an email back from Windish, James Blake is a no, though that's not surprising
But I emailed Light Asylum asking if they'd be at roo and their reply was "GOOD QUESTION!!" so make of that what you will. For those who don't know them:

what do you mean by decades? im just wondering and have no idea how old u are but seeing rhcp in the early 90s would have been ridiculous. especially for blood sugar sex magic cause they toured with nirvana and pearl jam for nevermind and ten respectively. three of my favorite bands playing shows promoting three of the best albums of the decade

Saw the first leg of that tour (Sept '91). Smashing Pumpkins and Pearl Jam were the openers, though. Nirvana replaced the Pumpkins later in the tour. They were much more entertaining then. (Also saw them twice on Lolla 92 and at Woodstock 99 and Lolla 06.)

i like their music since then a lot but definitely imagine the energy on that tour would have been at another level with the way their music was, their age, and their massive heroin addictions

Never even thought of them as possible tbh, this would be pretty great.

You're making me laugh with this. It's a smart tactic though, if perhaps a tad skeevy and dishonest haha. Good ingenuity, my man. Perhaps ask them if Eddie is available during any of the Roo dates, though don't mention Roo.
Light Asylum is great live. I saw them open for Yacht back in May.
