Perhaps, but not playing Hangout would seem to help those chances. Don't forget what they were able to pull off with Buffalo last year. 50 Beach Boys dates. 5 (?) Buffalo shows.....
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Rosko I'm making you a deal. If they're there (which I sincerely hope they are) we will get as close as possible and vibe to some sweet tunes all afternoon. Deal?

I'm just trying to keep my hopes in check.
Yessir! Is it wrong that I'm still desperately hoping they're on the lineup?
They were disappointingly old last night at the Gram's (everyone is). The Manchester heat/humidity could do one of those guys under. Either a stirring rendition of God Only Knows or death. It's 50/50. Not sure how I feel about those odds...

Man, fuck you for saying this. This is taking it way too far. Not fucking funny at all.
I love Surf's Up, Sunflower, Pet Sounds and Smile, but I'm struggling to get excited for this. Two of the three Wilson brothers are dead, and you're essentially left with the Wilson brother who hasn't been an integral part of their live show for decades. He was the studio guy and the songwriter who couldn't handle performing. So it all feels kind of bullshitty to me. Like I'm supposed to give a poop that Al Jardine and Mike Love get to make a little more money cause they convinced Brian Wilson to strap it on and come and out play with them?
The Beach Boys were a group built on chemistry. That chemistry died when the other Wilson brothers did. And ever since then, they've been up there with KC & the Sunshine Band in the acts most likely to play the free show after the crappiest basketball game on the schedule category.
All that is to say, I love me some Brian Wilson solo, but I'm probably going to pass on the Beach Boys.
I mean, if Paul and Ringo got back together and called it the Beatles, wouldn't it feel kind of half assed to you guys?

Yes, it absolutely would. But I would be all over it.
