I've lived many places and Nashville happened to be my last stop. Has good and bad like most places. I've lived here two years and this is my take on it. You will really miss some of your favorite places where live now but will find good places here also. I found I had to use yelp a lot to find good places to eat because the chain restaurant is the norm here. The same goes for shopping. Traffic isn't as bad as say a huge city but is pretty bad considering the Nashville area is considered a medium sized area. Not so much the volume of traffic but the crappy way the roads have been laid out. Everything is a bottleneck. Which sucks when an accident happens. People can't drive in snow or rain here. With this in mind learning alt routes and back roads is key to getting around the area. The downtown area on Broadway is a tourist trap go once then avoid it unless you need to be there for a concert or something. Know that this area is mainly conservative. Not everyone but a large percentage of people are close minded. My final opinion is Nashville is ok. Not great just ok. You will make friends with similar likes that will make it easier to look pass the shortcomings. Hope that helps.
