Hey has anyone done VIP at this before? We just got out tickets and were wondering how the view was... etc.?
Never did VIP but last year we really wish we had. Seemed like a pretty good deal. The VIP viewing area wasn't spectacular (they basically just barricaded off stage left). But it was almost always fairly empty and the open bar aspect was pretty sweet. Not too sure if this year it's going to be the same since it's not the same venue and perhaps they realized the open bar part was a little too extreme? Not sure I haven't looked into it.

Emailed them about this. Its not an open bar unfortunately.... But they said the view would be good and its connected to a covered lounge. Our crew thinks it will def be worth it.
A friend and I got VIP tickets for just Sunday. I'm not too thrilled with paying almost $200 for one day but at least I'll finally get a chance to see Beck!
I still haven't gotten my 2 day pass.. I need to get on that.. but with the Radiohead NY/NJ date coming out it looks like I'll be holding out for another two weeks
I'm doing pre festival volunteering so I can get in for free.. If anybody else is pre fest volunteering I am also planning to go to The Hives at Terminal 5 that friday night; would be cool if other vols got in on that too.

Bump! This weekend! Going to fill a little bit of the Roo-shaped hole in me. Has anyone been to a show on Randall's Island before? If so, was it a super pain to ride the subway/bus? Thinking the shuttle might not be worth the extra $$$$. See you in NYC!

It has been years since I have been over there. I beleive I took a bus over there. Also it used to be a dust pit, but I heard in recent years they have been growing grass over there. Bring something for your face just in case.
Really debating on doing this Solo... My friends are bums/have no money/don't listen to the same tunes i listen to so they aren't interested. But i'd like to see AvS since i missed them at roo sadly. Wondering if it is worth soloing, like are people going to be New yorkish and be very stand offish here, or will the crowd be more Roo like..... i psyche myself up too much i should just make a decision and stick with it.
