And Scrog. I swear. I brought up that Duddits thing simple to make conversation and try to play like i do as a townie. I really had no intention of making it an issue.
Okay so I had a dream that I was walking around inforoo brunch and I kept hearing a ticking bomb. That everyone knew I was mafia and I had to figure out knew before the bomb went off. Turns out the kids were playing a game that had the sound in my dream but at that point I was like, "Screw this, i'm not playing anymore." The previous game wasn't bad but I felt really bad when scrog thought I was a townie. Being mafia for my first two games will have people screaming mafia whenever I play. Though I may have cut my own throat by jump on the promises thing I really did think it was silly and would have probably said the same thing even as a townie. It would be the perfect strat for mafia even though we knew you guys were townies. Good job everyone. And good luck to Mafia next round
And SFA you are correct, I haven't been much help to anyone this game. Therefore, I'm not gonna play for awhile after this game.

Actually, I'm not correct at all. That was me being Mafia and I'm a butthole player when I'm mafia because I'll say anything to win.
If you look over your posts, you were on the more logical track of any townie. And I completely agree with you about the random vote switching issue. I even complained about it as a mafia member.
I think you should play the next game. You are a very good player!
Newer players need to realize quality of post over quantity. Remember, the Mafia know who is who. If you go witch hunting they will turn that against you.

I need to learn how to be more confrontational when I'm a Townie. My very nature is non-confrontational and I don't like to point fingers a whole lot. Logical or not, my play style this go around still voted me off and clinched the win for the Mafia.
Surf, if I were in your shoes, I would have made and stuck with the same vote you did. That was the smartest (without hindsight) move you could have made at that point in the game. I give you kudos for a VERY well played first game.
I agree that there was some really good play out of some of the newer townies. The criticism I would have was that Surf and Phi got a little too trusting with each other. Luckily, it worked out for them as both were Townies, but I did the same thing when I played with Flanzo. He was Mafia, and I screwed myself by taking him off the board as potential Mafia.
Also, the promises thing had me going to. A Mafia will promise ANYTHING to look like a Townie and totally lie their butts off about it, so any promise anybody makes is worth exactly nothing. Look at how many times SFA, Bonzai and Abra all said they were Townies this game. Basically, from what I have seen, when you're Mafia, you're the physical embodiment of this guy.
Lastly, SFA, you are a master of dazzling with bullsh*t. I love how you pulled out that victory in the 4th quarter. Surf, don't feel bad about picking the wrong guy. I would have totally fallen for that logic too if I didn't already know he was Mafia.
It's over?! REALLY?! That took forever! And I 100% think that I wouldn't have died if the days didn't drag unnaturally long. I might have died in a further round, but the day should've ended LONG before my name got thrown into the mix.

I totally hear you, Duddits. Every time that I play and I am a townie, I tell myself that I won't play again because I am so bad because I am anti-me. I've been accused a few times- when I have been both mafia and townie- that I don't defend myself enough. When it was you and me in the runoff two games ago, I started feeling guilty accusing you and seriously got anxious about it. I was actually pretty upset.

Yeah, I didn't like that at all. I would have had the same opinion as a townie, too. Mafia lie. And I really didn't even want to lie then. I had Abra yelling at me, "LIE YOUR BUTT OFF! Surf or someone said I avoided the question, I didn't mean to. I thought the deal was what NoAge said- that if I was a mafia, that I would never play another game again. I didn't realize that you switched the wording around. Unfortunately, I wasn't alive to defend that!

Totally agree. Super impressive. There is no way I could have fought the way you fought. Imagine me and Duddits being two of the last three together? It would have been crickets up in herrrrrre.

Ahh, I wish I could have spoken in the last round. The voting/whack in the first round would have made it very illogical for Duddits to have been mafia. When I saw Surf change votes I wanted to be like "NOOO!!!" Haha, oh well. Great game to the mafia. I think SFA deserves MVP for this one.

Abra, when I saw you at MikeD's house and we were talking about last game. For some reason, nonverbal clues, things like that, made my first thought/instinct/gut feeling that you were Mafia, but I told myself I would not let outside encounters have any effect on the game.(note: this game was not mentioned, except for the fact we agreed to not mention it.)
And Surf, Sorry for jumping on you like a Bulldog, after I started to see, what I thought were, holes in your story, I was convinced you were Mafia. I was wrong.
Duddits in the end you came out as Mafia to me and if I was Surf I would have voted for you as well.

Another game could be This or that, or word association.... Just sayin. This would be a smart way of making the bet, sticking to it and still being mafia. Thats what convinced me that you were mafia (even if it was wrong).
my opinion on the betting/promise thing is that it should be allowed, but that "I will never post on inforoo again" should be banned. THat will dilute the betting.
I think it would work BEST if the betting was more for prop bets (like the tutu - which if I was mafia I TOTALLY would have rocked at brunch...)

...am I missing something? Because me wearing a tutu at brunch would require me losing a bet, making good on a promise, or being bribed...
