Yea I like EDM and dubstep. For some reason I cannot stand this guy and I don't want him to take a slot that could be better filled by any genre of musician/band.
I personally can't stand him. He takes dubstep and filters it down to appeal to the lowest-common-denominator, in this case, frat bros. It's just awful music and it's unfortunate that it's what a lot of kids think dubstep sounds like
And with that said, I have the unfortunate feeling that he'll wind up on the lineup.

Oh you should check him out. His album Untrue is a classic. It's one of those "how is this considered dubstep" things when looked at from an American dubstep perspective, but he is the best of the best, in my opinion.

There's a haircut that I want but Maynard says I'll look like Skrillex. Meh, he could make a pretty girl. As far as his music goes like it or don't I don't give a quack. It just annoys me when people hate him personally or hate his music without ever giving it a listen. If they do give it a listen and dislike it, that's cool too.

I hate his music, but I have read/watched some interviews and he seems like a genuinely nice guy, which is something I can't say about Deadmau5 (hate his music and he seems like a grade-A prick)

All I have to say to that is who fucking cares? Thats like saying I banged Jessica Alba, but she has a bad attitude. Second part is irrelevent.

I haven't been a huge Skrillex fan myself but now that he's in, I have been searching more of his music and have found that I like some of it... You lose yourself to dubstep at a concert/festival anyway and the music simply becomes "what makes you move in strange ways"... I think he can pull this off
its amazing how most people on this board cant make a valid arguement about why they dont like him without talking about him personally. Some of you spout out so much hate I'm starting to wander if your actually in love with him.

Great point, it would be like someone discrediting your post by criticizing your atrocious grammar.
That being said, I think it has been made quite clear by those critical of Skrillex that they do not enjoy his music due to its shallow nature and creative deficiencies.
