Looks decent to me. I gotta be honest, they hit MSG night one with fire when they did it with no pre-dates. They'll have two days to practice. Then NY/NJ TERRRR
Nothing is official until it is posted on phish.com imo.
Sorry, I will temper the likelihood of the dates that were pulled from urls off phish.com from 100% to 99% because they aren't 'official'
I have not paid much attention today, did you do this yourself or look at what other people did on PT? From the cursory glance I gave it this afternoon I saw a lot of inconsistencies. Who knows they work out pretty well for me if they are true. I am hoping the Memphis date is real as well.
On a side note how hard is travel between Brooklyn, and Jones Beach.
I mean, I guess it's cool that Phish is playing, but I don't know. Their show in 2009 was so good I don't know if they can live up to it again, and I'm not a big fan of the most recent album. Also, I saw the setlist from the last show they played, and I really don't want to just go and hear them play crap like "Auld Lang Syne," with a few hits sprinkled in.
Although I think this is a troll attempt, I'm going to bite anyway =] the roo 2009 shows are pretty lackluster compared to how they've been playing lately (minus the Boss sit-in of course!) I don't think anyone is a huge Joy fan, but Kill Devil Falls, Ocelot, and Stealing Time From The Faulty Plan have been consistently ripping lately! And any Phish fan will tell you to NEVER judge a show by it's setlist!

That's just his thing. He likes to rip on bands other people enjoy, and state his opinion as fact. Just ignore him if it bothers you.
From what I heard from most Phish fans in '09, they preferred the Friday night set more than the Sunday night. Like it was more for the die hard fans, and Sunday was for the masses. Just the impression I got, but I don't follow them as religiously as most people. I enjoyed both shows, and lost my mind when The Boss came out. But I heard alot of bitchin from my jaded neighbors who acted like it was beneath them to play with Bruce. They could have just been d-bags though

Or, OR - I was gently mocking one of our board members here who was talking about not being excited to see Radiohead because he didn't think they could replicate their 2006 show, and also because he didn't like the 90 minute setlist they played at Roseland last fall. Try and keep up, junior.
Here's a fact: I actually like Phish, and have probably seen them live more times than you. OHHH SNAP HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED.
OH SNAP HE WROTE IN ALL CAPS AND CALLED ME JUNIOR! That's gonna leave a mark
First off, if you could actually read, I said I don't follow Phish as much as most people do. Only seen them a few times actually. I think Trey is awesome, and enjoy most of their earlier stuff, but find some of their songs silly. But why would seeing more Phish shows than me change what I said about you? You spend alot of time on these boards just pissing in other people's cherios. Your life is so pathetic, you go on specific artists message boards, just to talk crap about them and get their fans all riled up. Why? Have you ever convinced someone that the music they listen to is garbage? Let them enjoy their Skrillex, Mac Miller, or whoever. Just means more room for me at my chosen LN set.
Or you can go on making ridiculous comments like "Bonnaroo has never really had a real DJ", then define a real DJ as Mix Master Mike or DJ Logic (both who performed at Bonnaroo in recent years). Ya know, stating things that are false as fact. OH THAT TABLE JUST KEEPS TURNING!

You really don't understand how basic human interaction goes, do you? For instance, if it's really hot out and someone says something like "man, I'm melting out here," you understand they don't ACTUALLY mean that they are literally decomposing into liquid form? Please clarify that for me before I argue with you further, because your inability to understand the remarks referenced in the above quoted portion of your post confuses me, especially after it was clarified for you in the thread you're referencing. I'll wait.
On another note, can anyone explain to me why Phish always hits the WORST cities in America? It's never like Boston, NYC, Philly, D.C., Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, etc. It's always crap like Worcester, Hartford, Albany, Newark, and so on. It's really weird.
Both parties know exactly what to expect when the circus comes to town...
On Phish's Facebook page it says, "Phish will play a full two-set performance at the 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 10th."
2012 shows: 3/23 - The Men 4/9 - Of Monsters & Men 4/21 - Bassnectar 5/2 - Shpongle 5/22 - Jack White 6/1 - tUnE-yArDs 6/7-6/10 - Bonnaroo 2012 6/18 - Destroyer 6/20 - The Tallest Man On Earth 6/23-6/24 - Governor's Ball

No, someone saying "I'm melting out here" is a turn of phrase; something people say. You saying Bonnaroo doesn't have real DJ's is just you being a dooosh. Trying to sucker EDM fans into an argument because you have no life. Just like listing all these cities as crap, when you probably have never lived in any of them. I recommend spending some time in College Park if you think Atlanta is so great. I'm willing to bet Worchester will look a lot better by comparison. Oh, and not only has Phish played all those cities before, their last 4 performances were at Madison Square Garden. Is that big enough for ya?
edit: Oh, and damn you for suckering me into an argument. Tricky bastard
Sorry if this is a redundant post, but I am on the Phish email list and I received this email indicating a 2 set Bonnaroo performance yet the only day listed for Bonnaroo is their expected Sunday appearance. Does this indicate a double show by them Sunday? Here is the portion of the email referencing this matter:
Announcing Phish's 2012 Summer Tour Phish returns to the road this Summer beginning June 7th with back to back shows at DCU Center in Worcester, MA and ending with three consecutive nights (July 6th, 7th, and 8th) at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. As mentioned previously, Phish will play a full two-set performance at the 2012 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee on June 10th.

it will be like a "normal" phish show. two sets plus encore, as opposed to a traditional "festival" show, which is typically one long set plus encore.

I actually do live in one of those crap cities. I represent.
I wasn't trying to sucker anyone into any argument - if anything I was trying to stop one by saying "Bonnaroo hasn't had any actual "djs" in years - it's a bunch of button pushers" in response to someone complaining that there weren't any "real" djs there. So, you know.
I refuse to believe you're this obtuse. You're trolling, right?
So calling you on your bs is trolling? You can't deny that you spend alot of time on here ripping other people musical tastes, and making ridiculous comments. Really dude, I give up. I go on Inforoo to spread the love for my favorite bands, and somehow you jedi mind tricked me into defending EDM, which I'm not even a fan of.
Back to talking Phish, didn't they do 1 long set Friday night in '09? I remember the 2 sets on Sunday

Of course those people you talked to in '09 were douches and have no clue not because Bruce is a legend, writes good music and millions love him but because Trey (the one they put so high on a pedistool ) loves him and cites him as one of his biggest influences to date and he had an ear to ear grin the entire time Bruce was on stage. I, personally, am ok with Bruce don't love him, saw him once in 1984 in NY and then again at 'roo slept through half his set so I would be rested for NIN at 2:30am. But I enjoy seeing artists that I love stoked about playing with particular people that they love. That vibe is felt through the crowd I dig the little things like that that go on in a show...facial expressions etc... all part of it to me.
Oh on a side note Trey with the Colorado Symphony was legendary. Amazing to see him in a setting like this leading a 65 piece orchestra playing different chops than he gets to play with Phish. Worth every penny and then some....... No doubt the band overall is playing better now than '09 and most fans would not debate this at all.
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
I know they're in Worcester, MA on the 7th and 8th, but you could forgive them for making the mistake. After all, both Worcester and Bonnaroo are full of jobless people who probably haven't showered in weeks. Easy misunderstanding there.
