Here's one of my favorites....'cause we're all in this together, and we love to take a bath....
The only thing I HATE about this clip, is that it cuts off at the beginning of one of their all time best jams!! The Great Went - Bathtub Gin. Here is the "Artwork Jam" > the complete Bathtub Gin, sound/video isnt as good as the first vid, but definitely a worthy listen for the uninitiated! Gin starts at 2:45 in the first video. Part I
7/4/10 was one of the best moments of my live music life!! center pit for the whole show! got the forbins > mockingbird I was wishing for! Also was able to record this gem =] Killing In The Name
I also saw the three nights at Dick's in Denver! Very consistent playing and saw many songs for the first time! No mention of Reba yet!? One of my all time fav phish songs! It's a highly technical song with goofy lyrics (crazy idea right!? ) with an incredible peaking jam at the end. Here is their version of it from last summer's Superball IX festival: It starts at about the 1hr 18min 35sec mark (the entire Day 3 Set I is also in this video!!)
Okay Jess. You've brought me over. I really dig both NICU and Tweezer/Tweezer Reprise. I already liked Wilson and Farmhouse and their other stuff like that. Not a big fan of Sample in a Jar or Loving Cup though. What are the next steps accessibility wise?

Phish's most accessible songs to a non-Phish fan or new fan (not necessarily my favorites)
Chalkdust Torture - this opened up their late night Bonnaroo set in 2009. Solid rocker. It's great to see people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, etc all singing "Can't I Live While I'm Young?!"
Character Zero - "I was taught a month ago To bide my time and take it slow But then I learned just yesterday To rush and never waste the day"
Waste - One of their best recorded studio tracks. Slower tune that ends up being played at alot of peoples weddings. "come waste your time with me". Plus the guitar solo is stupid good.
Bouncing Around the Room > Tweezer Reprise Bouncing Around the Room was the first Phish song that I ever heard, and it's goofyness, guitar solo, and bass line hooked me right away. It's not necessarily a song i get excited about anymore, but that's what it's all about. And after Bouncin'>TWEEPRISE
anyone noticed phish hasnt posted their summer tour yet? think they're waiting for bonnaroo's lineup?
last year summer tour dates weren't posted until March. But, if the rumors hold out, I'm guessing they won't announce their dates until roo announcement
Thinking about buying a bootleg: which recent one should I get?
From this past year, any show from the Labor Day Run in Colorado, any of the 3 shows in Chicago, any set from Super Ball, or any show from the Memorial Day Run at Bethel woods.
For shows in general, any of the Live Phish releases (there are over 20) are worth the $$$
this video from the hampton reunion always cracks me up. the camera pans around and just shows how happy everyone is. oh to be in that room that night.
One of my proudest lottery experiences! I got tickets for night one and night two of the return run. My wife said she thought my old tour buddy / best friend should take her tickets, so I got to go with an old phan that would appreciate it more. When they opened with Fluffhead, that's when everyone pretty much knew that they were serious about the return.
I wanna formally apologize for saying Phish sucks. I am an idiot.
This is my favorite Phish video, in terms of seeing how much fun the crowd is having and an awesome song with great playing. Incredibly funky and catchy.
Enjoy
strong work my friend. this show is my peak music experience, with the reba being the absolute apex. absolutely transcendent.
newbs- watch this and learn. this was a special set.
I may be late on this but I found this on Bonnaroo's Facebook photos:
2 shows looks to be confirmed?
At least 6-8 of those dates are bunk, there might be some truthiness in the rest of them though.
Def bunk dates
Biggest red flag being that Lakewood Amph is not in "Lakewood", GA. Not to mention, that the band has absolutely loved playing Alphar the past two years. I can't confirm or deny that completely though.
The Vegas rumors have cooled down, and if that's going down it won't be until later in the year (obviously)
A show in Harrington?
Atlantic City dates are legit
Bethel is also 90%
Montreal?
3 nights at Deer Creek look like fun, but no Alpine?
I can't Imagine why they would play Lakewood over Alpharetta unless there was already something booked at Apharetta. I saw another set of dates that had them doing 2 shows at Alpharetta after Bonnaroo. To me any of these sets of tourdates are just rumors until the official dates come out. Anyone can make up a list of dates with Bonnaroo and Atlantic City on it and they would seem plausible.
Thinking about buying a bootleg: which recent one should I get?
my recommendations would be:
10.26.10 manchester (remaster available on spotify) 7.3.11 superball day 3
the colorado run in september was supposed to be top notch as well, although i haven't listened quite enough to give it my personal recommendation
if you want to go a little older:
4.3.98 is the bootleg that did it for me. ate a little fungus, threw this bad boy, and my mind was completely blown. this has long jams on it, that youre not as likely to see nowadays.

This one was always one of my favorites Live Phish #6 11/27/1998
Friday, 11/27/1998 Worcester Centrum Centre, Worcester, MA
Set 1: Funky Bitch, Ya Mar[1], Carini[2], Runaway Jim, Meat > Reba, The Old Home Place, Dogs Stole Things, Vultures, When the Circus Comes, Birds of a Feather
Set 2: Buried Alive > Wipe Out > Chalk Dust Torture[3] -> Mirror in the Bathroom[4] -> Chalk Dust Torture -> Dog Log[5] -> Chalk Dust Torture > Sanity > Buffalo Bill > Mike's Song -> I Am Hydrogen > Weekapaug Groove[6] -> Wipe Out -> Weekapaug Groove, Weekapaug Groove Reprise > Run Like an Antelope
Encore: Wading in the Velvet Sea, Golgi Apparatus > Wipe Out
[1] I Dream of Jeannie theme teases from Mike [2] Alternate lyrics referencing a streaker. [3] Wipe Out teases. [4] Phish debut. [5] Unfinished; Blues version. [6] Nellie Kane tease from Trey.
Notes: Ya Mar contained I Dream of Jeannie theme teases from Mike. Once again, Carini included lyrics about the streaker from three weeks earlier. Mirror in the Bathroom (which was subtly teased by Mike earlier in the set) made its Phish debut and Wipe Out was played for the first time since April 27, 1991 (721 shows). Chalk Dust included more Wipe Out teases. Dog Log was unfinished and sung over a more bluesy progression than usual. Weekapaug contained a Nellie Kane tease from Trey. Some funny banter ensued during the encore, as Fishman and Trey took verbal jabs at each other. This show was officially released as Live Phish 06.

I dont know if this has been mentioned before, but here are some links for the "Live Bait" albums straight from livephish.com. They're FREE and they rule. "Ghost" from Denver '97 on Vol.6 is incredible.
