Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Just thought i'd make this post now, since they were confirmed in the direct confirmation thread. They are from about 45mins from me in Athens, AL and have a "Muscle Shoals" sound to them.
I first saw them here in Florence, AL in July 2011 at a record store during the WC Handy festival, they opened for a local band and wowed the crowd (which included Patterson Hood from the DBT's).
Here are a couple videos i helped work on (ran camera), we filmed these before they started opening for the DBT's, and then got big.
Every time I try to catch their show, it is already sold out. They already sold out the Workplay Soundstage (Birmingham) in March which I would guess is about 1,000 capacity. It will be interesting to see their lineup placement and turnout at Bonnaroo.
Been hearing a lot about them and finally checked them out. Great stuff. I'd really love to see a soul tent with them, Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley, and Syl Johnson
I could see them doing it there. The Sheffield show was awesome! My first time at JDs, we loved it. We went back for The Pollies & Glossary.
The first time I saw the Shakes is still my favorite though. Watervalley, MS back in September. Tiny bar with no stage, we just stood in a circle around them. They blew our minds! Then we had them here in Tupelo a few months ago to a sold out crowd. I've got tix for Birmingham, Tuscaloosa & Oxford cannot wait!!
happy to announce our first European tour in late april/early May. We will be hitting so many great places including several dates in Germany, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Ireland and the UK. Specifics are on the tour dates page. Tickets go on sale this upcoming Friday. Pumped. And we will be announcing more US dates later in the week.
If we didn't already know they are confirmed, I'd say this is a lock.

I got my hands on an advance copy of the album, and good lord, this record smokes.
When it's all said and done, if this doesn't turn out to be the best album of the year, I will eat my pants. With a knife and fork.
I normally temper my expectations and don't get overly juiced about new bands, but holy shit, I am now probably the biggest Shakes fan in the country. Clearing my schedule for the next two months to see them as many times as possible.
Preordered the album today, and man am I excited for the show. This is probably the most excited I've ever been for a Thursday band ever. I'm even gonna try to see them before Bonnaroo. "I Ain't the Same" is definitely my favorite track.

How large of a crowd should we expect for their Thursday show? The album isn't even out yet and they have considerable hype surrounding them. I think the album releases in April. That gives people a couple of months to get familiar with their material.

I think Boys and Girls leaked (doesnt it come out April 7?). All I can say is holy shit! This is amazing. You can catch me on the rail during this show guaranteed.
I will be seeing them on March 31 here in Birmingham and am pretty excited about it. I have only heard a few songs, but am very impressed. I could see them blowing up in the next year or so.
