Well, so much for my theory. I thought the mystery addition would mean that Phish would be bumped down to #4. Oh well. That actually makes me feel better.

The Key to the whole insider thing is: she told us Radiohead Friday, Phish one show Sunday, the mention of something else in the works, not calling RHCP as the Saturday HL. So, to me it appears there was and may still be a Sat HL in the mix. Now maybe who ever it is/was never shakes out, but I think they had a #2 HL working. Prince seems possible, I think if it was Neil Young it'd be a done deal. Maybe it will happen and be one of the additons.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Now my interest is perked. You can't bring this up with out at least letting us know the act, even if you can't tell the story behind it/how you hear/what went wrong/etc.
Alright... Why is anyone saying the Gorillaz?! They said they'd take a long hiatus just last year, it's not liking Damon Albarn is gunna say "JK, I'm back!" Also, if Jack White ISN'T added I'll be totally surprised.

Was Jack White the mystery fourth act JHOinTN is referring to? I could see him being the #4 name on the lineup.
Jhos story makes me way more hopeful for additions. Weather this mystery band works out or maybe even if they are replaced with another 2-4 billed act.

^ Lower your expectations. I will guarantee with almost 100% certainty that none of those acts will be adds this year. If we get a big act it will be Jack White, otherwise we won't get anything higher than 20 or so on the lineup like we do every year.

^ yep. I'd certainly be surprised even if we get Jack White, though I think he'd fill a certain void in our lineup. I think we need more jam / funk / jamtronica / etc. Please, please, please. The most fun I have at Bonnaroo are late night sets with some sort of jam and/or electronic influence where I can just lose my poop: Disco Biscuits, Thievery Corporation, Lotus, Shpongle, Pretty Lights, Tribe, Ratatat after the sun has set... MMMMM. This year it seems like I'll be getting down to some Big G, MiM0SA, Umphrey's, FlyLo, and the Word. Not bad, but I'd prefer something more in between strictly jam and electronic, if that makes sense? I'm kind of just rambling here, because the greatest thing ever is running around from tent to tent after whoever played LN Which and just going nuts. Late night conflicts suck, but I was still able to take full advantage of Pretty Lights, Ratatat, and Shpongle last year. Same with Tribe, Girl Talk, and Gogol.
2012 shows: 3/23 - The Men 4/9 - Of Monsters & Men 4/21 - Bassnectar 5/2 - Shpongle 5/22 - Jack White 6/1 - tUnE-yArDs 6/7-6/10 - Bonnaroo 2012 6/18 - Destroyer 6/20 - The Tallest Man On Earth 6/23-6/24 - Governor's Ball
My guess is we'll see a lot of rock/bluegrass/jam/country additions. We already have enough rap and indie, with electronic only room for one more or so.
We've also had big adds in the past. Umphrey's, G. Love, Ween, Allen Toussaint, Public Enemy, Tiesto....
Jack White Bonnie Raitt Weir, Robinson & Greene Yonder Mountain String Band

I agree. I'm a bit confused as to why it's not as spread out, genre-wise, as usual. I'm crossing my fingers for some Shpongle Live, but I don't think it's very likely.
Where do you think Weir, Robinson, & Greene would be on the lineup? I'm really curious. I'm always down for anything Grateful Dead-related.

This is my 8th Bonnaroo in a row, guys. All I have to say is:
[shadow=red,left,300]Tame your expectations.[/shadow]
Seriously, outside of some hippy bands getting added, I think the only worthwhile addition in the past several years I can recall is Passion Pit and Rogue Wave. Nothing crazy big.

Not saying we're getting something big, but Tiesto and Public Enemy were both additions in the top 20 of their respective years.

Saw James Murphy was added to sasquatch doing a dj set. He did one at the virgin mobile free fest last year and was very enjoyable. it would be great to get him back to the farm in this form.

Can people please stop with the unrealistic "dream" adds. In the history of 'roo, there hasn't been a "huge" add late in the game, unless you are a WSP fan and count them as a "huge" add. You guys and gals just are setting yourself up for letdowns. Do you honestly buy lottery tickets and then count on winning? Seriously?
I also expect some type of metal act...Danzig has been reported as "playing" so that could be one.
Agreed, they will have to add a couple of heavier acts. Anyone else think we could see Iron Maiden added (obviously a top tier add) to play LN Which? They have a summer long hits tour scheduled to start about a week and half after Roo with Alice Cooper as the support act.
