I would like to see a Zola Jesus addition. I'm seeing her live on Tuesday and Thursday this week and think she would just be absolutely fantastic!
I also would love to see The Dandy Warhols make their first appearance as well on the farm! They are putting out a record in April and are available during the fest...
that is odd. but i highly doubt fuse tv would know something like that.
All the songs on the playlist were added on the day the lineup dropped. Why would they add those 2? Every other artist is on the lineup except Jack White and Drake. Just something to think about

Aug 2 - Beyoncé and Jay-Z
Aug 23-24 - FYF Fest
Sept 17 - The Breeders
Sept 22 - Lykke Li
Oct 6 - Ought
They had the fuse barn last year and presumably will again this year, so there is some connection there...I doubt there is any validity to this and it's probably from one of the fakes, but it is interesting to say the least.

Those two names would fill the perceived void in the Top 10, but I think it unlikely that both will be part of the additions. Maybe one of them, but I think that may even be a stretch.
With the majority of the initial lineup catered more towards the indie scene I expect the additions to fill in the lack of "jam." reggae, and metal. And Galactic.
Is there a perceived void in the Top 10? I personally think the Top 10 is pretty great. There are 7 artists in the top 10 whose sets I want to see, which is a high number for me compared to the last two years.

I think it's only perceived as weak by some because of people's placements of certain bands in their mocks. A lot of people had Bon Iver, The Avetts and The Shins in the 10-12 range, and Foster the People and Skrillex around 15 or so.
The only placement I was truly surprised by was Foster the People. Has a band with 40 minutes total of recorded material ever been placed that high?

Strange that that's happened twice now. First Foster the People including Cage the Elephant to the list of bands they were pumped to see at Roo, then the Fuse thing.

There's scuttlebutt that Neil Young and Crazyhorse fell through late in the game, so there *might* be one more big name add later if this is actually true. I wouldn't know where to start speculating, but I hope it'll be someone like Foo Fighters or Muse if that's the case. Either way, I'm superpumped for this lineup with no adds at all, so it's all just a bonus from here on out.

Love both your adds. Both were on my losing predict the lineup contest so they would definitely help my ego

There is mention of a big band in the 4th spot that fell through a few pages back. Someone mentioned inside info but did not go into specifics, not even hinting at the artist. Which is kinda lame methinks.

I don't think it's lame. What good can come of revealing which band fell through? People will just be pissed that we didn't land that artist, when the lineup is already good as it is.
There's no use in crying over spilled--er, there's no use in trying to figure out what substance spilled so that you can cry about it; just clean it up and carry on.
I want to write a comedy sketch based on that comment. Sherlock Homes and Watson standing around a fridge investigating a spilled substance to determine if they should or should not cry about it. Comedic genius
PS I almost hope it was Neil that fell through because that would mean he had some intention to play festivals with CH and would give him a decent chance to play Glasto.

Just give me the "co-writer" credit and it's all yours
SO i like the idea of Sleigh Bells being added (fingers crossed)
wishlist: Tenacious D (saw they were playing some other fest and they do have an album coming out) At the Drive-In James Murphy DJ Set m83 (i know probably not but this is a wish list) Justice??????
Hey is there a way of looking up when say the last few years of major artist additions were made and who they were each year? I thought that might be a good historical measuring tool for what to expect this year.

i havent found a great way dagwood, just looking at articles from the day of release and wiking the final lineup. There havent been any huge people ive found but this year had a relatively small initial lineup
2009: Public Enemy Ani DiFranco Amadou & Mariam Shadows Fall Heartless Bastards Tony Rice Unit High On Fire Passion Pit Dillinger Escape Plan Wailing Souls The Itals MURS White Rabbits Janelle Monáe Hockey Pretty Lights
2010: Galactic Umphrey's McGee The Gossip John Butler Trio Ween Circa Survive
2011: NOFX Galactic G. Love & Special Sauce Black Uhuru Shpongle Presents Shpongletron Experience Daniel Lanois' Black Dub Allen Toussaint (w Dr. John and The Original Meters) Anthony B Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears Ben Sollee Graveyard Dennis Coffey Forro in the Dark The Knux Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens Futurebirds Hangaii
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I think I owe someone a beer for Foster The People being so high on the lineup, cant remember who I made that bet with.
And the last artist addition I was actually excited to see was The Gossip in 2010, hopefully we get some good ones this year.
My favorite additions the past two years (roos I've been to):
Ween (saw) JBT (didn't see, too hot, what stage) Allen Toussaint (saw, awesome) Umphrey's (saw, didn't do much for me, again, super hot daytime set, couldn't groove) Futurebirds (didn't do much for me) NOFX (didn't see - conflict)
Ween and Toussaint were great, surprising adds, but if you look at 2009 and they got Public Enemy, MURS, Heartless Bastards, Hockey, Janelle Monae, Passion Pit, et al, it kinda makes the last two years look bad so it's hard to judge what caliber we should expect.
