My prediction (and even this is probably hoping for too much):
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros Danzig Galactic Built to Spill Yonder Mountain String Band Meshuggah Tame Impala North Mississippi Allstars Baroness Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 The Infamous Stringdusters
And then 5 or so bottom-of-the-lineup Thursday/tent or stage opener bands that no one can really predict. Maybe some crossover from the bottom of the Forecastle lineup? Nerves Junior maybe?

Didn't Edward Sharpe confirm they weren't coming? And I know Tame Impala looked like a yes, but they haven't had a new album since '10 and they don't have any tour dates...

Take off Built to Spill and Tame Impala and replace Ed Sharpe with Cage the Elephant and it's probably pretty close to what we end up with.

Hoping for Iron Maiden, Eddie Vedder, Of Monsters and Men, P.O.S. and/or the whole Doomtree crew and maybe K'naan. I believe Vedder and Iron Maiden are long shots but all of these are technically possible according to all their schedules.

Most of these would make me really happy, and seem fairly realistic. I'm predicting NMA atleast gets a Sonic Stage set, as they've done it in '07 and in '05 (last time The Word was there).
And the Infamous Stringdusters are touring with Yonder Mountain this year, so getting one would hopefully lead to getting the other. I need some Andy Hall dobro on the farm too. Saw him play with Yonder and SCI last year and he stole both shows.
I'd predict that there's definitely going to be another metal band. Liturgy was on tour with Diplo and Sleigh Bells, so I could see word getting to them... but to be honest, I'm not sure why they toured together. Most people who showed up were there for Diplo and to dance and Liturgy confused the crap out of them. Either way, I'm not too knowledgeable about current metal bands. I'd definitely like to see a Post-Hardcore act along the lines of ATDI, Thrice, Alexisonfire, Trail of Dead, etc., but not sure how likely that is. At least let the Bronx play as the Bronx! lol
As for other acts I'd like to see: Justice, Anyone associated with Black Hippy, M83, Manchester Orchestra, QOTSA, Soulwax, ASAP Rocky, araabMUZIK, Bombay Bicycle Club, Hot Chip, Japandroids, Cake, Cut Copy, The Drums, Fleet Foxes, Jay Reatard, Local Natives, OFWGKTA (w Frank Ocean), The Subways, We Are Scientists, Wild Nothing, Wild Beasts, Surfer Blood, The Thermals, The Vaccines, Wu Lyf, Yeasayer, Youth Lagoon. Not sure who's played Roo before, seeing as I'm still somewhat or a ROOkie (first year was last year but I got my ticket for this year!)
Also would really enjoy seeing a chillwave act during the day and they shouldn't be that costly so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hell, I don't even care if it's in a tent or on a main stage. I'd kill to see Com Truise again (he's opened for Phantogram before), and would really enjoy Brothertiger, Memory Tapes, Washed Out, Neon Indian, Toro Y Moi, Small Black, etc.

i would die if vedder and maiden were added, its very unlikely. but we can always dream!

Edward Sharpe are announcing tour dates with DMB for May and June tomorrow morning so I doubt they'll have the time. Definitely 2013.
Not sure how profitable a one off would be for Tame Impala but I would DEFINITELY love catching them again. They are highly overdue.

i like a lot of the bands on the list, unfortunately Jay Reatard passed away a couple years back.
With the whole foster the people twitter thing I just figured they knew something and didn't confuse them with someone else.
Yeah who knows what that was all about. Cage the Elephant seems to be pretty straightforward with their fans on FB so Im just gonna take their word for it
Oh jeez, I didn't know that Jay Reatard passed away. I've only started listening to him in the past year and all the dates of his records on Spotify were recent. Kind of surprised I haven't wikipedia'd him before, I usually do that for artists I listen to. Pretty much explains why he hasn't played Orlando since I've been down here.
This isn't really metal in the Judas Priest/Anthrax/Slayer way, but still. I think The Cult could be a damn good line-up add, if it happened.
They changed labels not long ago and have a new studio album scheduled to drop in May. Band members have said in recent interviews that the sound they're really trying to capture this time is "a Zep/Stooges thing".
Lately they've gotten a nice bump from the "She Sells Sanctuary" Flo Rida mash-up that Rick Rubin mixed for a Super Bowl commercial. (Even without 'Rida or Rubin, that song is close to an all-time headphones favorite for any skateboarder or skier who's ever steared downhill.)
Haven't been able to locate any current/upcoming tour info, but still hoping it's at least possible for Roo. Me and my bald-spot would politely edge up front for that Tent set.

tame impala just announced their new album is finished.
I live in Bowling Green and I see Matt and Brad on a weekly basis. I can tell you for sure that Cage the Elephant currently has no plans to play Bonnaroo.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
