Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Not necessarily. Ilo and the Coral Reef Allstars were already booked for that opening Sunday slot on the Which stage. It just so happened that Buffett joined in with that set.
If Buffett was officially billed/on the lineup there's no way he'd play for an hour on the Which Stage as the first act of the day.
Pretty sure it was on a Saturday, and they announced Buffett a couple days before the festival. So technically, he was officially billed
I can see Beach Boys opening What on Sunday if they are so inclined. It makes sense for the festival too, as it will get people into Centeroo earlier in the day. The crowd will roughly be the same either way, and I doubt the band gives a crap where they are billed on the lineup
You may be right about the day but my main point was that it wasn't billed as a Jimmy Buffett show. He was just a guest who happened to play.
I really, really don't think Beach Boys opening the What stage makes sense. Most people aren't even in Centeroo at that time.
Definitely think Beach Boys will be later in the evening.
Dad: Hey son, you've been talking about this Bonna...roo you've been wanting to go to.
Son: Yeah Yeah!!!! You got tickets!!!!
Dad: I got us tickets to something even better. It's family friendly so your little sister can come too, and it does have roo in it's name. Can you guess what it is?

soo any word on when we will get these additions? I cant remember from past years, not like it matters since i feel like theyve done everything a little different this year.

I really don't think we are getting any more additions. I think that some bands will get longer time slots than bands billed in those spots in previous years. Radiohead, Phish, RHCP can all play for two hours plus if they all wanted to, so I think they may start the headliners at 9pm and have them play until midnight, then onto the late nights. With the exception of MMJ and WSP, every prime time act (Black Keys, Eminem, Arcade Fire, Buffalo Springfield, Robert Plant, Primus) last year only played for 1.5 hours. I think it's time these bands start doing something for their paycheck.

Bonnaroo said more additions on their facebook, & they usually specify the difference in additions and cafe acts. Plus we have a few leaks that are too big for the cafe.

No they were unfriendly about certain issues at the festival leading to some circumstances a festival goer would rather not have to deal with. Jamcruise had a similar incident if I recall correctly. Pretty sure this info is easy to find with a little poking around

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I've been out of the country the last week and I'm just now catching up with the board. Very thrilled about Temper Trap, y'all. This year is going to be incredible.

You're not thrilled about the Neil Young & Crazy Horse addition?
the sick thing is, this liahonaroo will probably be HUGE with like 100,000 people at it.
I had the exact opposite thought. I predict it being a total failure. Even if it does appeal to a big group of people, the bands have to be worth seeing to attract them. I don't see them getting jack squat.
Well, they need to add some more metal now.... again. (from facebook)
Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival:
Kvelertak regret that they will be unable to play at Bonnaroo this year, as they have had to cancel their planned US touring in June to continue work on their new album. The band look forward to hopefully being invited to play the festival again & to doing more US shows in the fall.

If someone was to cancel, I'm glad it's Kvelertak. I wasn't feeling them whatsoever. This is coming from someone who loves metal and was so upset by Down canceling in 2009. Giving up Bonnaroo to work on an album, I think that was a huge mistake on their part.
