For the first time ever Bonnaroo seems to be putting a limit on the amount of alcohol we can bring...WTF??? From thier website- info.bonnaroo.com/bonnaroo/topics/can_we_bring_alcohol they are advising "a limit to what you may bring: 2 cases of beer per person per car, and 1 1.75 liter of hard liquor per person per car, and 2 boxes of wine per person per car. (Really, that’s plenty for a weekend, don’t you think?) Anything more than that will be confiscated when we inspect your vehicle on arrival."
Ummm...Really?!? I usually bring enough liquor to have any of my favorite drinks I want at any given time. Over the course of Roo it can add up to a decent amount...especially since I love to share drinks with new friends. I've enjoyed offering my neighbors a Bloody Mary in the mornings or a Rum & Coke in the evening or what-have-you...and now a limit??? I never sell my drinks and I know there is ways around this (putting them in two liter soda containers) but I'm just shocked at the limit. It is after all a 5 night event!
Okay just looked through old post and I guess I missed it before....I usually bring alot of liquor (not much beer) and was just surprised. Knew about the beer but never heard the liquor limits. So...I'll just keep doing what I been doing. Thanks
I don't bring more than a case of beer but I do bring vodka, rum, tequila, gin and malibu rum... and I make a great bloody mary!! One bottle just limits my choices and this is a vacation for me. My neighbors are always pleasantly surprised.
They really dont enforce this unless you have a ton of alcohol. This rule is to cut down on people selling alcohol. They also say you cant bring in glow sticks and there are plenty of those. Just dont show up with a ridiculous amount and you should be fine.

I'm sure you can bring in a little more than that. Just don't be a jackass when you pull to the toll booths. If they ask you how much liquor you have tell them the limit, no that we have one hundred cases of beer in the bed of our pick up truck. That warrants a pretty good search. Not that I have friends that would do that or anything...
I know last year we brought alot of liquor and I still have it in my fridge. It was so hot we just didnt even think of drinking plus with the two deaths last year they may be getting alittle more pumped up to curb huge amounts of liquor.

Last year the guy we got at the gate didn't quite understand rules. We had a group of 3 cars and he tried saying it was either 2 cases or 1 bottle per person. Finally after 10 minutes we got someone who knew what they were doing and we were on our way.

I always bring in a bunch of beer - but still below the limits - and end up taking a bunch home because I find myself not wanting to walk back and forth from Centeroo to my tent.
We had 8 people in our group and we each brought three 30 packs. We also had 2 bottles. At the end of the weekend we had about 30 beers left. We drank a lot and also handed out plenty to our neighbors when we all hung out. So ya you can bring in more then what the rule says.
Do y'all think if I filled up gallon jugs with my magic lemonade (that's blatently alcoholic) they'd smell it or merging to c if it is alcoholic
Just mix it when you get there.
Also mini kegs are great on the farm. Cool em one at a time... couple different flavors... Heineken, Warsteiner, Bell's Oberon. Small glasses stay cold beats wasting warm can remnants.

Not new standards. I definitely remember the two cases of beer per person. I also remember in 2009 having to move several handles of vodka from the car I was in to another car in our group to comply with the limit. (Yeah, the security guard was pretty cool about it.)

They have limits but it's real lax, and if I'm not mistaken they are per person limits not per vehicle. Always brought a ton of beer and booze without a problem. Only problem usually arises when you have glass
