Yep. Depending on how much food, merch, etc you plan on buying bring something like $100-400 in cash and then have a debit card just in case you need more.
Cash and bartering are the only way to acquire those random ass Legendary items that are once in a lifetime crazy motherfucker in the campgrounds purchases.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
Definitely a lot of cash. We ended up paying $20 a day to take the "taxi's" back and forth from BFE. We hadn't anticipated doing that but it was money well spent.
Cash for the on site expenses, card for stuff on the way in/out... it's a good idea to have a little extra money on a card put away for dire needs. I like my method, though, because it prevents accidental overspending, helping prevent you from being too broke to pay for gas on the way out.
That's a good point about the ATM. I image the "convenience" fees are outrageous. I've got this habit of getting more-than-inebriated at festivals and don't trust myself to keep track of my cash and other belongings. Its tricky, tricky. Perhaps I'll have to look for a fashinable fanny pack this year.

I bring at least $300 in cash. Those overpriced-but-worth-it microbrews run about seven bucks a pop. Bags of ice are like $5/bag? You'll be surprised how quickly you burn through a stack of bills.

C.R.E.A.M.
Card on the way down and on the way home. There is no such thing as a card once you step on the farm. It is straight bartering, and cash. I couldn't imagine the $1 grilled cheese stand accepting a card. I would max my card out by Friday night.
It's so easy to lose your wallet/cash in Centeroo.
^^This!!
I am the most careful person and never lose anything, and I dropped my wallet at night with about $200 cash in it (thought I put it in my purse, but I missed.....) It was turned in, with all my credit cards and ID still in it, but the cash was gone
Cash---if it gets lost it's a one time loss, as opposed to someone getting your card and going crazy with it.
I took $80 my first time in '10 and managed to scrape by (I couldn't drink due to medication, so that saved a lot of money) but I wouldn't suggest that low an amount unless you plan on bringing a lot of food and drinks.
I'd also suggest a passport/ID holder instead of a wallet. You can get one on a lanyard that zips and is plastic and thus waterproof; shove that bad boy in your shirt and it's harder to lose than a wallet that can fall out of a pocket or something.

That brings a good point. If you are flying, maybe leave an ID at camp incase you do lose your wallet. I couldn't imagine smelling like the Bonnafunk at an airport trying to get through security without an ID.

I bring lots of cash, and then a credit card, because there are some vendors within Centeroo who do accept credit (the fancier ones, especially). Just an FYI that you can use both!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
