Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Could you give some info on what makes this festival better run than the others? I'd be interested in checking out something new.
It is held on the same site as Waka, but only draws 7500ish people. The weather is incredible! The site is beautiful! The organizers of this thing have got it figured out. There was no wait to get in, lax search, very close camping to the stages. There is no security to speak of at the entrance to the venue, they truely only care about you njot taking in alcohol.
there are kids running around everywhere. there are plenty of vendors (official and un-off) with just about anything your heart desires...
AND.....
Wait for it!!!!!
Yonder Mountain String Band headlines all three night!

What everyone else said, the music is curated so well you never get bored. The site is amazing cold at night and warm all day, with beautiful mountain scenery everywhere you look. The beer is all craft brew from boulevard, and every musician seems to have sit ins.
Thats another biggie right there. Collaborations all over the fest. It seemed like Drew Emmitt, Bill Nershi, Vince Herman, Ben Kaufman, Jeff Austin, and Bela and all the tones, were all over the fest all weekend. There were so many sit ins that at times you couldn't remember who's show you were at!
It was also almost like a Dead family reunion last year. Kreutzman (sp) was there with the 7 walkers and he sat in with a few people, notably YMSB on night two, but there were Dead covers all over, all weekend!
Harvest can't be described, it must be experienced!

I dont think it would be a problem. They were basically pulling people into lanes like any other festival, but werent too strict about it. If you didnt want to park where they were pointing, you could just go somewhere else and park.
It was only about 7500 people so that makes it even easier (though I expect it will be bigger this year).
I will probably be able to swing wide when I pull in and make a spot for at least one car, maybe two if I can talk to the neighbors. I will definitely makes sure you guys have room wherever we end up!
The reserve spots sell out in like 2 seconds when they go on sale and think they were $800 last year just for the spot, you still had to pay for your ticket.

Probably not for VIP. Really, you just dont need to spend the extra dough for VIP at this fest. It is so small and everything is right there within a very short walk. The campground atmosphere was one of the best parts of the festival. One of the best lot scenes of any fest I've been to.
Also, I just cant really swing a VIP tik, I pefer to spend that money on other things...

While this thread is just chock full of valuable info on this festival, I would just like to add that the dates are October 11-13 and the location is Mulberry Mountain, Ozark, AR.
I'd like to make it back out there this year. Right now, I'm not planning on doing Wakarusa this year, but it's too early for me to make plans for this. I'm gonna have a lot going on this summer, and I'm not sure where I'll be in mid-October yet. But if I'm anywhere close, I'll try to make it.
Well the kids are off of school for the dates, and Yonder gave the initial lineup out todiay. Yonder will once gain be playing all three nights of the YMSB harvest festival .
