I mean, let's get real, I'll happily pay for overpriced tickets to see her. I think nosebleeds are about $50 and floor go as high as $400 (yeah, right)
Tickets for the Atlanta show (Philips Arena) go on presale next week for the November 17th show. Its a Saturday. And I plan on doing a lot of pregamming prior to the show

If I can get decently priced tickets to the Atlanta show, I might end up going. I've never seen a "pop" show, and I bet Madge would be a good one to see.

i saw her at coachella in 2006. she started late and, if i remember correctly, did not sing very many songs. it was kind of a let down after so much build up... but it's still madonna.

From all accounts on the Coachella boards, Madge basically pressured her way into performing there for just a second. She wasn't a surprise act, but her show was just 20 minutes in a tent. It probably wasn't representative of an actual Madonna show.
Well folks, tickets went on sale for ATL today. If you didnt get them between 10:00 and 10:03, you missed the cheap seats. A girlfriend of mine tried to get a handful at 10:05, and all the $57 tix were gone - and promptly being sold on StubHub for over $100 each.

I must've slipped right into that 3 minute window. I got 2 certifiable nosebleeds for $115 RIGHT at 10:00 am. The "cheap" tickets sold out majorrrly fast. It really disgusts me how scalpers ruin it for everyone.
So, they won't be the best spot in Philips Arena, but I'm just excited to be in the same room with her. I mean, com'on its MADONNA!
I was a little disappointed with where my $95 seats were, but 15 minutes later I was checking again to see what tickets were left and they were sold out except the $400 ones and those weren't really any better than mine. Less angle and lower arena but no closer to the stage than my own. I think the important things to remember is this is a reasonably small arena (4000 seats less than Rupp Arena where our college basketball team play their home games) and like inky said it's Madonna!
Even with 2 presale codes I couldnt get any cheap tix for the Pittsburgh show. I ended up paying $200 a piece for 2 tix. Taking my mom. Should be an awesome show
The Louisville show was on Saturday and was quite spectacular. My second time seeing her and remarkably varied from her 2012 show I caught in Atlanta. I wasn't expecting the late start though once I was there I remembered the same thing happening the previous time too. I'd say she got things going about 10:30 and the show wrapped up slightly before 1 am. We can discuss more after yours happens so I don't spoil anything about the show.

The late start actually increases the odds of me going by a lot. Thanks for letting me know!
I brought this back from the murky depths to post about how I am excited to see her for the first time since 2008 tomorrow night!
Although I am not too impressed she is waiting till after 10pm to start her scheduled-at-8pm-show.
Are you going to the Nashville show? Has the time changed to 10, is there a pre-act, or is she just notoriously late? Doors open T 6:30 on the tickets.
I heard there was a DJ named Mary Mac. I have read several reviews where 10:30 was the start time after the DJ. I don't plan on leaving for the show until 9 or so tonight lol

This and her last tour, she was notoriously late.
If that's past my bedtime, you'd think it would be past hers. Of well, a good show is worth a little extra caffeine. Have fun!
DJ ends near 9:45. Waiting for Madonna now. I love this crowd! So diverse! And we are near capacity the DJ puts a nice 90s megamix at the end before she leaves. Nice touch!

Thanks for the heads up on the start time. Got an extra two beers in pre-game.
haha well I wanted to post this last night but it was 1:30 when I got home...the show was incredible. I have seen the Confessions and Hard Candy tours previously, and some of MDNA online. This blew all of those out of the water. Maybe not as aesthetically (design) intricate as the Confessions tour, but the song selection was way better than any of the tours in the last decade. A lot of old favorites were actually given their near-original treatment. I was elated she threw in Beautiful Stranger! I think that this tour is the first time she's ever put that in a live show?!
Anyway, I definitely am glad I splurged for a good seat. She even addressed the drunk rumors, of course she says she wasn't. lol who knows or cares.

Interesting. I have a friend in Louisville that posted that she and her friends thought it was horrible.
She was drunk, started almost 3 hours late and then didn't do many hits and the ones she did, she reworked into bizarre new versions. She affected this fake southern accent and even called out the wrong city.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I thought the taunting was part of the act..her just being a diva and putting on an attitude. I figured it was something she picked up from working with Nikki Minaj like she thinks that's what's cool with the kids these days. As for the setlist I respect her not wanting to go around as merely a nostalgia act and it's more or less how she's been operating for years. I wouldn't complain if she had more hits in the setlist but didn't feel it was hurting for more. The show was around 20 songs, as it also was when I saw her a few years back on the MDNA tour. However the costumes, staging, choreography and setlist(!) was almost completely different from one tour to the next. In both cases she had most of the current album represented and that took up almost half of the main set and then remaining dozen songs were about an even mix of hits and deeper cuts from older albums. I felt the reworking of some of the material was quite creative and for the most part it really didn't lose anything but then again I was on the side of people who found Ms. Lauryn Hill's reworking of her catalog mindblowingly awesome at Bonnaroo a couple years ago. I know not everyone did.

I ended up getting a free VIP package ticket for last night's show in Atlanta. I live about an hour away from Atlanta, but thanks to you guys I knew the show wouldn't start until late so I didn't even leave the house until 9. I got to Phillips Arena around 10, got in around 10:15, and waited for about 30 minutes until the show started at 10:45.I've seen like 700 bands, but that was probably my first big, full blown pop show. What a theatrical performance! Each song was a small play, and the visuals were really good. I enjoyed it and I'm glad I went.
My biggest complaint was the set list. I would have liked to have seen "Ray of Light", "Get Into the Grove", "Physical Attraction", "Beautiful Stranger", "Justify my Love", and "Like a Prayer." There were more deep cuts and new songs and less hits than I expected.
Song highlights were "Like a Virgin," "Music," "Secret" which she talked about writing in Atlanta ("a basement in Peachtree"), a cover of Edith Piaf's "La Vie En Rose" that I knew from the movie "Before Sunrise" (I'm sure a lot of you are more familiar with her but that's my limited experience with her music), and "Material Girl." All in all, it was a good time!
You didn't get Beautiful Stranger?! We did. I think it was inside another song. I was most happy for that, considering we didn't get Like a Prayer. I agree that Virgin and Material Girl were highlights. We didn't get Secret.
So she still changes up the setlist pretty often, that's awesome.

Most of the setlists on this tour have been the same. I think she just changed it up in Atlanta to include "Secret" because she wrote it there and said she felt a real attachment to the ideas behind it last night. We sacrificed "Beautiful Stranger" for that.
