There are some tremendous ideas in here. I've been stymied lately, cannot think of a single interesting get up for madness after dark. Thanks to Pondo for pointing me in the right direction.
I generally like masks, but often find that the visibility is a challenge. I'd love to find a breathable set of animal masks, anyone have suggestions?
Whoreshack showed me a nifty little mask that had pretty good visibility. it was like a plastic mesh thing. totally spaced on where he got it though...
Mexican wrestling masks are my go-to. Too hot for daytime, but work well for night. And the eyeholes are wide enough so you don't have to keep adjusting them.

Unless I think of something new I'll probably just do a rehash of past years. The mask will be worn on the back of my beautiful head. It'll have cigarettes on the face pointing out like Pinhead and might have baby legs glued to its chin.
I'll of course also utilize my customary backpack candy dispenser. Hopefully I'll be able to keep the blood fresh as that was a problem last year:
On a side note, I do accept bookings for children's parties in case any parents are interested. My rates are VERY REASONABLE.
Well, here's what I'm looking for. You know those masks you see in movies that bank robbers wear, that look like animals? They're generally plastic? I'm looking for something like that but not rigid/hard/uncomfortable plastic.

Try finding a leather animal mask off of etsy.com. Tons of really cool options to choose from.
I've never really gone all-out on a costume before. Two years ago I wore an orange mustache and wrapped a tapestry around my shoulders like a shawl while doing tribal rain dances at Flying Lotus. Last year I wore orange boxer-briefs, orange suspenders, and an orange top hat at the Rock'n'Soul Superjam and Boys Noize (I like orange). I have an orange morphsuit but that gets hot pretty quickly. If I'm feeling adventurous in the next couple months, I might cut the sleeves off a shirt and sew fabric in them to make removable wing sleeves. Then maybe a tailfeather loincloth and an obnoxious beak? Hmmm. I have to think about this.
