And if the lineup is right, I'll have to check it out one of these days. Upstate NY is really quite nice in the summer and it would be a nice change of pace from 100 degrees and dry.
Damn. I was honestly expecting something a little bit better. Aside from the names dropped by Rolling Stone, the only artists I really care about are Tycho and Thundercat. However Amon Tobin + less than 2 hours from my house = I'm probably going. Gotta say this is definitely the weakest lineup they've had in awhile, though.

I'd pay $170 for Portugal. The Man, Atmosphere, Big Boi, Bassnectar, and Lotus easily. A lot of friends from home go to this since it's only a few hours north.

Looks good. But do not think its 17 hours of driving worthy (ill do some research). Do they do additions usually? Cause it looks pretty full.
Damn, 17 hours? I find that insane. I mean, it's a good festival but a lot of the reason I go every year has to do with its crazy proximity to me. The lineup this year DEFINITELY does not constitute any driving distance over 3-5 hours, IMO.
They spent all their money on Bassnectar and Skrillex.
Yup. But decent electronic acts don't really cost that much money to book. Like I bet combined, Bonobo, Tycho, Thundercat, Simian Mobile Disco and Daedelus cost less than Skrillex does to book.

Ya for sure I would probably end up flying. Last years bisco I would have done it if I had the money, just too many good bands.
I drove to Oklahoma from Atlanta just to see the Flaming Lips for new years. It was a little much.
In 2010 I got mine after roo and in 2011 it didn't sell out till the day of. This year has lower capacity but I still think there will be tickets for awhile.
The only people there that suck are the die hard condescending "bisco is the only band in the world" smurfs, and they don't do anything but see TDB and then go back to their tent and post on PT from their phone about how custie the crowd is this year.
These were also the additions last year, which consisted of a LN tent spot (special disco), a set break(ratatat), and a pre-biscuits stage set (shpongle).
For anyone who's kind of on the fence, or even doesn't like the lineup so far, I wouldn't worry because its going to get a lot better. I'd expect at least 1 huge addition that will get anyone on the fence to come, and in general there should be 4 or 5 really solid acts added.
There's supposed to be 100+ artists and theres only 70 on that lineup. Expect 8-10 to be silent disco DJs, another 8-10 to be up and coming/local bands, and still 10-15 more main additions.
Yeah. I love bisco anyway so regardless of the lineup im there (it's also only like 3 hours from me) but one more legit name would really mean a lot for this lineup. The top isn't looking too good (at least to me...) Skrillex, Crystal Castles (saw them once and it was so boring, maybe I just caught a bad show? hopefully) Shpongle (just not a fan) Porter Robinson, Dada Life and Zeds Dead just don't really do anything for me. The under card is pretty solid, but I'm really hoping for 2 or 3 more names at the top (orange names)
Id guess Major Lazer, hoping for Ghostland to return, and I'd be surprised if Com Truise wasn't added.
Meh. This is looking like a no-go for me. Amon Tobin is in Philly in September, I'm gonna snag tickets to that and the soonest Tycho show. Realized that they were pretty much the only two acts I was really going for. Not to mention I'll be going to a wedding in mexico the weekend before so I won't exactly have a ton of funds, plus the fact that I just got a new job and don't want to be taking two weekends off in a row my 3rd month at the job.

Bisco is straight. The venue is cool...Its just a smaller fest. The music is always good.....many big names. Some of Wu tang was there in 2010....if ur into hip-hop.....
Good thing is you can hear the music pretty clear at your campsite. Camping is cool....You will have your mix of cool/douche people at any fest.
How are they gonna do the camping like Coachella this year??? hmmmm intersting. I've only been to one Bisco but 3 Camp Creeks at same venue.
This thread seems pretty dead, but are any inforoosters heading up to this years Camp Bisco?
Apparently Shpongle can't make it (DAMN!) so they will be announcing a replacement act in a week or so. This will be my first time at Bisco and I can't wait! I'm going up with a friend and meeting with some people I met at this years roo. Hopefully I see some more roosters there!
My older brother played bass for the Biscuits a while ago and keeps in contact with all of them. He's trying to get me two tickets for myself and younger brother to go. I'd be pumped to get them, but not too disappointed if it didn't happen. Sure this will be sick though

ONE MORE DAY PEOPLE!!! Camp opens Wed night this year and I'm planning on getting there around 10/11pm. After seeing Big Gigantic at bonnaroo they're one of the bands I'm most excited to see at bisco. Hopefully I'll see some of you inforoosters there! (feel free to PM me if you want to meet up)
