Was just going to post this.
They were outstanding. Definitely a much better setlist than coachella and the sound was spot on. Their light show (which is terrific) I think works better in a dark club. Looks like they're playing mostly the same setlist on tour so if you want spoilers just check setlist.fm. Some cool live staples from Before The Dawn make it, and they're still playing my favorite live track that I heard in 09 when I saw them,"Sitting."
So NOLA got a date finally...October 9th. I'm trying to find some folks to come with and split gas. I know I am going to miss them at Lolla due to either a Black Sabbath or an Afghan Whigs conflict.

Last nights M83 show in Philly was a huge disappointment. Their set was 50 minutes and they didn't play an encore. It seems they may have had some technical difficulties according to the venues Twitter account, but the band didn't mention anything on stage nor did they release an official statement afterwards. The songs that they did play sounded amazing but only about half of the vocals were live it seemed. Defintely a bummer.

I would just like to thank M83 for scheduling NYC dates that ensure their shows are teen-filled day care centers instead of putting them on a weekend so I can go. I mean a Wednesday!? Srsly!? Not even a Thursday so I can turn it into a 3-day weekend. Comeeeeeeeeeee on.
Super jealous. While I'm seeing one of my favorite bands tonight, I'm going solo.
Nashville or ATL would have been the way to go. Then I could have seen M83 AND my favorite people.
dammit GL!
***edit*** my computer is crazy and posted before I was done...
TONIIIIIGHT TONIIIIIIGHT, I SEE M83 TONIIIIIIGHT
I plan on being there early so any folks who wanna meet up, if you dont have my number, shoot me a pm. Or just stand on the corner yelling Corncat, and I will find you.

Maggie gets off work in Athens at 4:30, so we'll probably be getting down to the Masq around 6-6:30 more than likely. We will be yelling Corncat on the corners in the hope of meeting fellow Roosters pre-Roo! :-)

Got this email from the Masquerade in regards to today's M83 show. I'm on the Masquerade list serve, so I don't know if this was sent out to individuals who purchased M83 tickets for tonight or just Masq followers in general:
There will be limited parking in the Masquerade parking lot TODAY due to construction..... We are urging car pooling or public transportation....we will be using a remote lot at the Shriners hall (shuttles will be provided and this lot will open at 6:00pm). It is approx 4/10 of a mile from Masquerade.
Alternate Parking @ Shriners Hall 400 Pince de Leon Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30308
Directions from Interstate 75/85 Exit at FREEDOM PARKWAY and go east. Follow FREEDOM PARKWAY until it dead ends into PONCE DE LEON AVE. Turn Left on PONCE DE LEON AVE and follow Ponce De Leon to the Shriners hall. The Shriners building will be on your RIGHT soon after you pass the Taco Bell at Ponce & Charles Allen.
Hope everyone finds parking and has a great night!
