Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
It's good to know that one of the guys most wanted gets is Iron Maiden. They don't have anything going on in April so I don't see why they would turn down the opportunity to play Coachella if they got the offer.
How is the search when you get into Coachella? Not the car for camping but into the music area.
I'ma be flaskin' it hard all weekend.
Not too much different as Bonnaroo. Some security guards will be more thorough than others. They make you dump out your liquids 99% of the time, I had one guard let me bring in ice, but it took a lot of convincing. They do the little patdown thing they do at sporting events sometimes (for the ladies, between the boobs and the small of the back, sometimes lower legs). But there are always places they don't check.
One nice bonus is that the lockers at Coachella are inside the gates. Which means you only need to smuggle anything once.

So is there any sorta consensus on who's gonna headline this bad-boy? I believe the Rolling Stones rumor and I don't think Daft Punk is happening. Beyond that I'm stumped. NYCH? Phoenix? Muse/Killers/RHCP?
Yeah, I'm pretty much in the same mindset you are. I believe the Stones'll be there, but completely stumped as to who else may headline. I would love it if Phoenix headlined. I think they could pull it off, and pull it off very well.
Blur hasn't had any US shows in quite sometime. If they are there, which I 100% believe they will be, the question shouldn't be if they HL it should be what night.

Definitely have to disagree.
Plenty of acts play Coachella that haven't played the US or anywhere in years. That doesn't make them headline.
Blur just aren't that popular in the states. I'll be very surprised if they headline. Maybe Co-headline like Kayne/Strokes, but otherwise they're a number 2.

For all three of QOTSA, Phoenix and Blur I can see the arguments for and against having them headline. Would Deadmau5 be a candidate for the SHM headline spot this year? That's a serious question I really don't know their comparable popularity.

I think Deadmau5 could be a #2/main stage closer.
I also think QOTSA are definitely not headliners. Even less so than Blur.
Do agree other wise. Bjork was thrown around a small amount (west coast dates in the spring supposedly), and despite her headlining twice in the past, I could also see her being a "co-headliner" now. Feel like she's lost some steam.
So I'll say I would not be surprised to see any combination of Bjork, Phoenix, or Blur being 'Co-headliners'.

My reasoning is The Black Keys. If they can headline a night, I feel like Blur would be on par with that. I may be wrong in that assumption though.
If you really wanted to throw a wrench in my idea, Pulp would have been a perfect example. I thought about that right after I posted that.

The Black Keys had career heat going into last year, though. They were probably an attractive option as a 3rd headliner since their price is surely much lower than what they paid Radiohead and Dre/Snoop (and Sabbath before that fell through), but I think the Keys are genuinely at that level right now. They were 2nd billed at Lolla last year, even above Sabbath's only '12 US appearance.
Blur would be a big deal, and I could see them top billed on one of the nights, but not without someone equally big sharing the line.

Blur are a much bigger "get" for the fest, no doubt, but the Black Keys play 20,000 person arenas throughout the country on the regular now. Blur would play theaters in major markets, even being on a "reunion" tour. The draw is just not the same at all.
