That's surprisingly close. Well, the knee socks bit.
You were actually the "little person" from Game of Thrones, but with blonde hair. You also tried to give me some skittles but I got the hell outta there.

Certainly with ya on "can't miss Trixie Whitley". Kinda feel that We Are Augustines not appearing on this list will be a big miss, though. Just IMO

Hey Rosetta! should not be missed. They're from Eastern Canada which has an awesome music scene and they're hugely popular out here. I definitely think they could hold up a tent show! Saw them in halifax last year it was amazing.
and my favourite...
If you dig them I would recommend their album called Seeds.

I haven't talked enough about The Silent Comedy yet in other threads, so I will take over for Abra. Seriously, we saw them last year opening for Ryan Bingham at the Bijou in Knoxville. Not a single person was into the show when they came on. Almost every person was on their feet going nuts by the end.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

I would just like to point out that I saw We Are Augustines last week on th Coachella Main Stage. That's what is cool about Roo. We get Main stage quality acts as our bar bands.
I'm really excited about a bunch of these acts. Really into Art vs. Science, Cherub, and Rubblebuckey, plusa ton more that i really dontfeel like typing right now..

Skittles are dangerous.....we know that now.
Only Skittles from Juggs are dangerous....and the green M&M's give you hives or something like that

We also get Mac Miller, so I'd say we're about even.

I don't remember a year where I found more unheard bands that I fell in love with... This Cafe lineup continued this trend, I really hope I can make a few of the following shows...
Art vs Science Cherub Hey Rosetta! Jukebox the Ghost Rubblebucket Tauk The Silent Comedy Trixie Whitley
I was lying in a burned out basement With the full moon in my eyes. I was hoping for replacement When the sun burst thru the sky. There was a band playing in my head And I felt like getting high.
i know dawes, but does anyone remember other cafe acts that got really popular after? its driving me crazy
2006 had the Avett Brothers and Zac Brown Band....both have grown really popular since then.
Cage the Elephant, Mute Math, Justin Townes Earle, Abigail Washburn, Sarah Jarosz, The Devil Makes Three, and Orgone are some others that have become bigger and graduated to play a tent at Bonnaroo.

Wasn't Phoenix originally a cafe act in '08 or '09 who got promoted to a tent before the festival?
Yes but I think that's a bit different than what he was asking. Phoenix was too big for a cafe at that point so they got promoted to a stage. The other acts named have played the cafes and eventually moved up to stages later on.
A lot of people were surprised when Phoenix was a cafe.
2008 had Bear in Heaven and K'Naan. 2009 had Justin Townes Earle, Ben Sollee, and Phoenix (still going to count Phoenix). 2010 had Angus and Julia Stone, Dawes, Frank Turner, Lissie, Mike Posner, The Devil Makes Three, and Warpaint (probably the biggest group of cafe acts for Bonnaroo). 2011 had Gary Clark Jr., Givers, JEFF the Brotherhood, and Walk the Moon.
Always something good to be found in the cafe acts. Just gotta look a little (and you can't rely on blogs to help you because the blogs don't pick up on some of these acts until after the festival). I've kicked myself quite a bit after discovering an artist post-Bonnaroo who I then fell in love with: Frontier Ruckus, Joe Pug, JEFF the Brotherhood, Bear in Heaven, Joshua James, Bobby Long, and Matthew and the Atlas.
