Ive clicked on three threads since the cafe acts were announced, LP, Art vs. Science, and now Cherub. I want to see all three. Hopefully they can be Thursday or Saturday to avoid what I'm sure will be massive conflicts of Friday and Sunday.
Stuff like this reminds me of all the awesome music to discover in my hometown. I had heard of Cherub, but never really listened to them. Yep, I'm excited now.
I have been checking these guys out I think they will have a fun cafe set this year. In fact this is the first year I have actually been interested in multiple cafe acts.
I was literally about to start a thread about these guys. I'm extremely excited about all the Cafe Adds. I feel like a lot of them may not have a huge following, but have the sound and musical quality to play a tent in the future. I'm really liking Cherub though, their lyrics are pretty enjoyable, and the sound is like a Neon Indian/Jusitce vibe that i am digging. I feel like i am going to be at a good amount of these cafe acts.
I've seen them several time and know one of the guys...they're a great band. My girlfriend is also ecstatic about Machines Are People Too. She saw them here in Nash at the Soundland fest and couldn't stop raving about them. I'd give them a listen as well.
Myself and wolfmanjess went out and saw Cherub last night in Nashville. GREAT show! Here's a few videos I took last night. DEFINITELY check these guys out at Roo if your schedule allows for it!

Ah man it was heaps of fun. These guys have a really good live act. They're going to get big, soon.
They did a really awesome extended jam/mash up of Around the World by daft punk and Eleanor Rigby by the beatles. So cool. Plus they ended with a really awesome cover of In the Air Tonight.
They brought up bonnaroo probably like 3 times, as well.

I checked them out on spotify, and thought it would be a fun little post Big G dance party despite me not liking the music too much.. But these live vids are a FAR more exciting preview! Thursday night is gonna be such madness!! Today needs to hurry up and get the quack outta here already, and so do tomorrow and wed.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Has anyone seen Cherub lately? Just wondering how their show has improved/maintained. I'll admit, I'm in their hometown, but still haven't seen them. But hoping to dance my butt at the farm.

They are best seen in the evening or at a small venue. Their 9pm set time on Thursday is perfect given their billing.
I saw them super early in the day at Bisco last year and didn't enjoy them nearly as much as their last Roo set. Can't say that was necessarily them and their show because of such drastic differences in set time and location.
