I never got tired this year, but this was my sleep schedule:
Thursday night: Went to bed around 3 am.
Friday: woke up at 8 am. Went to bed at like 5 am.
Saturday: woke up at 2:30 pm (yeah, I slept THAT LONG with the help of a fan). Went to bed at like 4 am.
Sunday: woke up at 9 am. Stayed the night, went to bed at like 6 am. Woke up at 8 to pack up, slept in car for a few hours, traded off at the wheel half way to Columbia.
It takes a little bit of strategy, but you definitely want to sleep. Don't try to stay up all night... my friend did this in 06, his favorite band is Radiohead. What did he do? He fell asleep sitting up at Beck, and slept through the first few songs at Radiohead.
I need my sleep. My plan, sleep after late night w/ fan and canopy over tent helping hopefully. Nap at about 6pm if I can miss something. My plan for everyday. I want to get about 6/7 hours combined a day. In VIP so I am going to try for a shower after evening snooze. Ready to go go after that.
super hard to get quality sleep in a tent at roo. I bought a hammock from eagles nest outfitters and i plan on setting a gazebo over top that, hopefully this will work better.

if you want to have a little more energy and like the taste of piss, drink those 5 hour energy drinks in the orange bottle that are maybe 1-3 oz, they don't work to well and i'm guessing thats probably what piss tastes like, don't drink any alcohol especially during the day cause drinking in the sun sucks and you'll get a major headache and headaches really piss me off, but if you eat a handful of corn i bet you could stay up for days on end

Another thing that throws me off is the that we drive straigh thru and don't get any sleep on wednesday night. We arrive around 8 or 9 a.m. thursday and taking a nap is the last thing on my mind. i'm thinking "beer, people, sunshine, i am here"

I sleep in the line to get in, its like 3 hours, why not catch up
Don't not sleep man, after 48 hours you will be delirious, after another 12 to 18 your thought process will just cut off. It's not good. I also saw this on Super Human: Pushing the Limits. Or however the title is on Discovery Channel. Guy tried to do the same thing on a Balloon trip to the Artic, didnt work. Your body will just shut down on you, no matter the conciquences. Get a few hours a day and you will be good.
Buy an O2Cool small box fan from Targe' or WallyWorld -- it takes 8 (yes, eight!) D-cell batteries but will run a good long while on that and makes a HUGE difference. Hang it in the top center of your tent, as high as you can, preferably pointing toward a vented part of the top netting. Turn it on low before you go to sleep. When the heat wakes you in the morning, turn it on high and sleep another hour. It eats batteries but is the best tent fan I have ever used. Here's the Targe' link: tinyurl.com/387bag
Be sure to properly install the rainfly on your tent so that it both shields you from any rain and provides good ventilation. That means using the flexible poles with the rainfly, attaching it to the tent properly, using the tie-downs with stakes, etc. This will provide better ventilation to your tent so that O2Cool fan can do its job plus give you a bit more shading.
If you have a canopy or EZ-up or similar, then place your tent under the shelter, probably best in the NW corner but anywhere under the shelter will help. This will give you a bit more shade to block out both light and heat.
Get some earplugs. The cheap foam kind from any drug store work great. Use them properly, you don't just jam them in your ear. Most boxes have good directions on the back. I slept like a baby through the great storm of Langerado until my wife woke me up and informed me there was an emergency porta-run in our future.
Dance your freakin' ass off and run around like a loon, til you stumble back to your campsite totally whiped out crazy exhausted and pass out.
Finally, if you find a mellow time to lay down in an enclosed space with a chill act and snag a little catnap, do it. Think of it as banking an hour of energy for goin nuts-out later.
