My wife and I are staying in downtown Memphis tonight for Valentines and I may not be able to get access to a computer when tickets go on sale tomorrow. So how fast in previous years has the 1st round of tickets sold?
They might last longer this year because they aren't much of a deal this year compared to second tier tickets. But I would definitely not shit around...
The first tickets will be priced at a special rate of $209.50 each. There is a limited allotment of tickets at this price. When the first allotment is sold out, ticket prices will increase without notice to $229.50 and then again without notice to $244.50.

Ouch! That's intense. But, we all know roo is most important so just make sure you get that taken care of first. (Just kidding, sort of....?)
Haha no seriously in my mind Roo is the most important thing If I had my choice I would get married barefoot at Roo but we have to keep the family happy......

So dr. seuss would want you to get married at roo b/c your family matters so they won't mind. Works in theory right?
Back On Topic: I don't think i'll get first round tickets
Good point, and my family would be fine with me getting married at Roo..... My fiance's family on the other hand - catholic and traditional....... so we are having a semi-formal wedding - but we are doing it my way

I'd wait until closer to the festival and buy them from E-bay, if you really want the best price. I don't think there's anyway that this thing sells out with all of the competition from several other festivals that have popped up. Langerado and Rotherbury both have great lineups, and seem to be where the true jam fans are headed there.
A lot of people falling for the fool's gold of the low price bracket in hopes of flipping for profit. I think they are going to be unpleasantly surprised when they go to sell them in May. The initial price of the tickets seem to indicate that the promoters think as such also.
personally i think it's best to just buy them now. I know last year some people i know bought them like 2 days before on ebay for $180, and that was about the same as early bird tickets, so the price probably wont be that much different if you wait til then. Plus I'd rather just pay for them now and get it out of the way and have time to save up for gas, food, etc and not have to worry about my ticket later on.
Until last year I always just waited and got my tix closer to the show from someone with extras (usually from the traffic jam). I never paid more than $100.
But I was just getting one ticket and live just up the road so it was not a hassle. I bought mine from Bonnaroo last year for the 1st time and will do the same again just because I have a little more money now and can afford to.
^yeah i can definitely see how that's better in your situation troo. I would do the same if i lived close by... but i dont want to depend on ebay or craigs when it's crunch time.. .especially since I heard sh!t happened with craigslist sales last year.
