Did anyone else have issues with their wristband and facebook?
My wristband never checked me into anything. Also, multiple people in our group were getting checked in at bands they were not at... One person got checked in at phish after we had left the farm, lol.
My facebook checked me in when I scanned at the gates to centeroo, but did not work for any of the check ins at the stages. I always got the red light.
I didn't go to Roo, but Coachella had the same Facebook "checking in" system and even though I used it a few times, it never checked me into anything. My friend also used it and it was actually working for him, though.
I was checked into about 10 shows I wasn't even near, and 0 shows that I was actually at. I won't be connecting my wristband to facebook next year.
Same here. I came home to posts on my wall about The Temper Trap and The Avett Brothers and the Soul Rebels when I wasn't even at those shows. It did get Gary Clark Jr. correct though. Weird technology, hopefully they improve it next year

my wristband worked just fine getting into the camp grounds, but then when i tried to go in on thursday to centeroo, i had to switch out my first wristband for a new one because it wouldn't been when going through the scanner lines. and it took them way too long to do what they had to do to get me in, the people didn't seem to know what they were doin very well.
once i got the new wristband, the checkins kinda worked. everything i checked into at the kiosks posted to mah fb but it also checked me into stuff i wasn't at.

this happened to my friend too and it took FOREVER. we waited in line for like 20 minutes and then finally got in and had to wait for him for an extra 20 minutes to get a new wristband. horrible process, caused us to miss an entire show
Mine worked. I just wish they'd had more check-ins. I only saw one for the Main Stage and we never went through that front way to scan in there. We always go the back route.

Apparently, I checked into Centeroo 11 times on Thursday in the span of 2 minutes.
Also, if you checked in before someone's set, it would often attribute it to the set prior. I think it's kind of a bad idea. You're not going to scan for everything you do (especially if you're camping for a spot at a tent), so it's going to paint an incomplete picture. Why have it at all?

Some bugs in the first year of doing this. Not sure if they'll keep it or drop it.
One thing for sure.....I thought the "Check In" towers at the Tents were screens for people who couldn't fit in the tent. I thought that was PERFECT until I realized it was just a big check box promoting people to use facebook.
I thought the check-in for Bonnaroo arrival was pretty cool (when they first scanned your wristband).
I just wish they could figure out a way to scan the ticket via RF or something so we don't have to go to the check-in tower. Most of the stages and tents had those towers poorly located, so it was hard to get to it. When you did get to it, it didn't work. Not bad for a first try, but definitely could use some work.

It checked me in at random bands but probably bc I would do it at random ones I walked by. It worked for the stuff I actually checked in at. I really liked this feature bc it let's your friends see what you're doing
Mine seemed to work fine...even with that horrible photo one...luckily, when I set it up I set it so that only I could see my check-ins so it wouldn't annoy my friends. And luckily, they didn't see that awful check-in picture either!
11/29: Judas Priest 12/31: Cake 2/4: Tool 4/21: Van Halen 5/17: Styx, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent 6/7-6/10: Bonnaroo 6/11: Yankess vs Braves 6/21: Iron Maiden 7/10: Roger Waters

Same thing happened to me, but it was closer to a 45 minute wait for my friend to get her new wristband. This was maybe an hour after Centeroo opened on Thursday so it was understandable. The one consolation was I had full reception on my phone at that spot!
The wristbands definitely checked me into stages I wasn't at multiple times. It worked fine when I actually did make the effort to check-in. Any check-in past 5pm was a lucky stumble for me.
I don't know about the whole FB/wristband issue because I didn't connect mine.. I was like eh- whatever..
BUT, did anybody experience their wristband falling off? Mine fell off the first night. came unraveled. I watched like 20 other people's fall off too throughout the weekend. The security guards thought it would be funny to eff with me and say that I was kicked out of the festival because mine fell off. HAHA. I went to the tent they sent me to, and they sent me somewhere else, and then they wanted to send me all the way back across the grounds to the West tollbooth- finally I was like look, I'm just going to tie this thing on and carry my ID, then they can scan it and see that I'm me.
I guess they said they were getting a new wristband manufacturer next year, and that these ones were super cheap, but i just wondered if anyone else had issues

My wife registered hers. I didn't. I don't think she ever had any problems with it. But I went through three wristbands and she went through two because the cheap seams on them kept popping. My first one popped between the Manchester conference center and the tollbooth. Lady at the table said they'd had a ton of them pop. Then I had one that would scan with the handheld scanner, but not at the cattle gate. Guy at the table kept insisting there was nothing wrong with it so I had to take him over to the check in and walk through before he'd believe me.

I linked my facebook which was dumb. It checked me in like 8 times in a row when I would come into centeroo. I would come in at 7pm for example then have updates like so one at 7:00, 7:01, 7:02 etc. I didn't have a smart phone and had no clue. So I just ended up with people bitching at me thru txts saying it was blowing up their phones.
