Being front row center for Joy Formidable. They blew my mind the whole show, then topped it off by destroying their entire set. When the guitarist smashed his guitar against the drumset, my roo was complete. Grouplove was also spectacular

I'll stick to just 2 that really stick out....well OK 3.
1. My phone was dead Thursday evening, and I had friends who were coming in that night to meet me in TO. I decided that I would taxi out to pod 1 and charge my phone at the car and call them. I walk out of TO to the road and directly in front of me are my friends!! At Roo the most impossible and improbable events always seem to manifest themselves all weekend long.
2. I lost my friends before Radiohead, but figured we'd regroup at camp after their set then head back in. I was quite spun in deep but just soaked it up, I'd never seen Radiohead before! After I went back to camp I sat their for about 20 minutes waiting for them. Then I realized their cooler was gone. Then I found a note saying they had left for the night and went back to their hotel. I was pretty bummed. I was looking forward to hanging out with them the rest of the night. Here I am spun so far out, and my friends just ditched me. ??? . I decided to beat down the spinning with booze but I didn't want to sit around a dark abandoned campsite drinking so I headed into centeroo. At least there'd be interesting things to look at. I wandered around the vendors drinking beers still feeling kinda bummed, until eventually I found myself watching the last part of Blackstar's set because I was curious about Flying Lotus. I'm not a big EDM fan but I liked what I'd heard of his stuff, it had kind of a ka-lunky rhythm. Blackstar did a seamless transition to Flying Lotus, they just handed it over to him and the music didn't stop. And then sh!t got crazy! With in 2 minutes Flying Lotus blew every last bit of bummer out of my body and mind. I danced my ass off for the next couple of hours, and I'M NOT A BIG DANCER! After that I stumbled over to Umphrees for a bit in the best mood of my life.
3. When leaving Monday after the downpour I got lost trying to drive to the arch where my gear was in TO and wound up driving thru the middle of centeroo! There was something magical about driving thru and seeing all the spots where I'd enjoyed the most awesome 5 days of my life.
4. Young security guard catching me with a mini liquor in centeroo. I shrugged the "damn I'm caught shrug" and started closing it and giving it to him. he said he was going to search my backpack, where I had more liquor. Was prepared to give everything up & He said "Do you want me to take it or do you want to finish it?"....... Basically security just made me take shots super fast. He sat there and watched me down my liquor until I was finished then told me to have a good day

- The dance circle that formed during Phish. One person would go into the middle of the circle, danced their best dance move that they knew, and the people on the outside of the circle would imitate it. It looked like synchronized dancing. SO much fun.
- Dispatch. I had way too much fun during Dispatch. You probably saw me having too much fun during Dispatch. Youtube will probably see me having too much fun during Dispatch.
- Bon Iver was incredible and got me all emotional and shit.
- Chilling out in the bean bags in the Ford escape tent and listening to a band I had never heard of and am a now a new fan of. The singer took the mic out into the middle of the bean bags and would hop around on his guitar right in front of me which was a lot of fun.
- The Beach Boys on Sunday were just so much fun, every person was dancing and having a good time in the nice, cool weather.
- The glow sticks at Phish. Holy raining glow sticks.

That's awesome. Should've gotten a picture of you on top of your car in front of What stage or something. How the hell did you get into centerroo? Had they already taken that much down?

Was this just with your group? The group beside me starting doing this at the beginning of Phish. We took a picture of their group for them.

Ah I definitely didn't have my picture taken, could have been the same group of people but maybe we had gotten there after the picture. What a good time.

1. Watching an older man and his wife during the Beach Boys show, and then watching them smile and look into each other's eyes when "God Only Knows" came on.

Bwahaha how many shots did you have to take??
hahah I took 2 and a swig from a water bottle then I was done hahaa

It was crazy. I was parked in Pod 1. As they were directing us out I asked one of the flag guys if I could make a right, and explained that all my camping gear was by the arch. So he flagged me to the right and after that I didn't see anyone directing traffic, I wasn't sure which way to go, I could see the clock tower off to my right. So after driving a bit I just made another right and BLAM I was driving through the middle of centeroo. Man I so wanted to take pictures, but I'd lost my camera during the 2nd Phish set....
-the crowd under the arch when leaving phish in the mud and rain
Seriously my last 30 minutes in Centeroo were just magical. My group left Phish around 9pm to head to camp and drink some more but after awhile I decided to head back alone for the end of Phish. The rain, the music, the fireworks, the mood were all so amazing...and truth be told, I never really cared for Phish before. Their performance had me eating my words! After the fireworks finale, the crowd started migrating towards the arch and everyone was cheering and clapping. Then some guy randomly yells out "let's hear it for the staff" and the entire crowd just erupted. I truly felt the love that night! The next morning I told my camp mates about it and they were all pissed they passed out early.
My other fave moments: -Seeing Blackstar, GZA, Superjam -Dancing from the start of Santigold til the end of The Roots (I didn't even realize I hadn't sat down until my friend said something) -Experiencing new bands I've never heard of and being pleasantly surprised -Helping out a group of young girls who were quacked out of their minds. I gave them gum and they were so thankful. LOL it's the little things -Seeing my hometown band, SOJA, kill it on Thursday night. This was their first Roo and it was so awesome. Everyone in my group had the same sentiment. -The stellar group I came with, they made everything better. Even after we had some mishaps. -My awesome best friend who drove the entire way home. I don't know how she did it!

I had a rough time the first couple of days at Roo this year and actually wanted to leave on Friday. I'm so glad I didn't. I'm still sick as hell and thinking about these great memories is helping me remember that it IS all worth it. My favorite things/moments:
My RV campmates (the best!) and being parked so close to a bunch of other rad Inforoosters.
Our Rootu caravan to Brunch getting stopped several times for photos
Scrog asking me to DJ the Dance-off @ Brunch
Handing out 100 popsicles at Brunch
The Temper Trap with Abra (and her showing up all the other hoopers around)
Getting everyone liquored up at the Beach Boys set
Funneling my first beer ever at Camp Inforoo
Boobs for chili pepper beads at RHCP - had so much fun with great friends at that set
All of Young the Giants' set
Bon Iver - saying to Mike D and Phi that I hope they play Skinny Love soon and when they do I'll lose it, and just at that very moment they begin to play it... didn't stop weeping for quite awhile
Getting caught in the parade after Alabama Shakes then going to meet everyone at Cherub
Meeting Bonzai for the first time as we're walking down our RV row to go to centeroo... and within 3 minutes we coined the phrase "vagina five"
Superjam with Dave and CKS then Bunny walks right by us.
Waiting for Unchained with Mike D and Lordrockinghood... and running into other Inforoosters by the portos
That one guy's negative reaction to my "fitness" joke. He made me feel so classy.
Sitting down by the fountain and being tapped on the shoulder by this nice lady who wanted to take her picture with me and told me that I made her smile.
Art vs Science cafe set with Inforoosters then chasing down flanzo because I realized I hadn't yet asked him about Fitness.
Spunday night RV Dance Party... so many Inforoosters!
Alice Cooper playing Lady Gagas Born This way, Then having frankenstein come out again dressed like her. And Orianthi playing lead guitar, that girl is amazing.

Daamnnn I wished I coulda seen that! Should have stuck around. We left Cooper a bit early to go check out Superjam, one of the WORST conflicts of the whole weekend. I remember talking with my buddy about the Constrictor album and how Man Behind The Mask was the theme song for Friday the 13th Part...uh 6? When I heard them start playing Teenage Frankenstein, I didn't catch that they played some Gaga. That must have been pretty damn cool! Cooper seriously brought the best Metal that weekend.

Wait...I just re-read your post. Did I totally hallucinate them playing Teenage Frankenstein? I swear to god I have this memory of them playing that. We split right after Halo of Flies.
This was my first roo. lots to take in but here are a few in no real order-
-Walking into the gates for the first time -The crowd going nuts for Moon Taxi's set, especially during Who Do You Think UR and Killing in the Name Of -Staying awake through Umphrey's show -Seeing Maynard not hiding at the back of the stage
*being with my RooCrew. *SILENT DISCO!!!!! for 4 hours saturday night. dancing to madonna on the farm was awesome. *Radiohead, of course *Brunch, had to leave early to catch Electric Guest *Electric Guest and Phantogram *all the love given to Santigold *and the chic who Faceplanted after tossing my beer all over me, lmao, oh you had to be there.
i could go on and on and on. this year was epic on so many levels.
^This! (The Silent Disco Saturday night was sooooo much fun! ;D) And... *Kenny Rogers with Phish!!!! *Having YEMolly spew beer in my face from laughing at the girl faceplanting and then laughing about that for hours *Drinking champagne that was passed over the rail from Total Access while watching the spectacle that is Big Freedia *Driving right in without having to wait in a line *The weather! *Art vs. Science on Saturday night

1. The People. Never been to a festival with so many awesome people. 2. Recknor with the Fireworks 3. Sbtrkt - I agree life changing 4. Rolling around on the ground reaching for the sky when I was completely unsober 5. Weather 6. Hit and Run movie 7. Once again the awesome people.
I was so happy the whole time. My favorite Bonnaroo ever. It started with Radiohead on Sunday night with billypilgrim & friends and didn't end until I took ODB to Union Station on the next Tuesday.
The drive down with Dan'ROO and ODB was the best. Super traveling companions.
Meeting up with Inforoosters in Nashville on Tuesday night then staying at wolfmanjess' house.
Exploding cans of warm craft beer. ODB tasted it and we looked for a leaky Belgian style.
JHO recounting her spectacular good time at Daniroo's wedding reception. And reading my shopping list thinking 'Dan food' was dog food. haha.
Camp Inforoo. Completely worth the work to move our stuff from Pod 1. (If you ever need help moving call a Belgian!) Riding on the back of a festie cab pulling a wagon loaded with camping gear.
All my camp mates and everyone who stopped by throughout the weekend. I will never do it any other way again.
Beer bong watching party. Everyday.
Brunch, of course.
Painting lots of fingernails blackish-green for Alice Cooper. So fun! A girl with spectacular painted breasts came in Camp and was so happy to have found us again (?) cause she wanted her nails painted. That was awesome.
Running into lordrockinghood at the Brewers Tent on Thursday night. Running into people there all weekend. Beer never tasted so good.
Ben Folds Five with RDK.
AfroCubism with billypilgrim
AfroCubism at the Sonic Stage.
Sarah Jarosz on Sunday morning with a bunch of Inforoo friends. We won't see her on a stage that small again. Or shouldn't.
SOJA with nursn'deadchick. Magical.
The end of Unchained with bonzai. They were terrible. So much fun.
The Shins front and solo.
Radiohead solo and thinking the grass was really wet when it was my Camelbak leaking. Who gets fucking COLD at Bonnaroo?
Jellyfish @ Phish
The arepa I had from the Airstream food truck. Best thing I ate all weekend.
The rain beating down that dust. I could breathe so much better. Mud >>>>>>>>> Dust.

From start to finish
Being picked up/taxi'd away from the shuttle stop by Phi
The creaky ride on the ferris wheel
Radiohead...fireworks!! There were tears involved here
Having hilarious camp mates (fitness)
Seeing all of the latenights I wanted to
Getting the best sleep EVER at roo
Having a great view for 90% of the shows I saw
Riding out of the grounds in about 5 minutes flat
Meeting/talking to/hugging so many wonderful inforoosters and running into them throughout the weekend, including being overwhelmed with the concentration of awesome folks at brunch! <3
Inforooers are great. At the brunch, I asked Jess if anyone could help me carry my amazing hammock and other brunch items including the cart back to the road. He left for about 3 second and came back with 5 or 6 inforoo men including 2 Belgians. I didn't have to carry a thing. Also on the way in helping a couple inforooers carry their things Dactyl (unsure of real name) grabbed the heaviest items and lugged them to camp inforoo. Without Dave and his help we would have been carrying things across Manchester for hours.
Those were just a couple instances of inforooers helping out but it occurred so many times over the weekend that I'm reminded of a new one each day. Seeing the community and it's love, including QSAROO, was my favorite moment of Roo.

Seeing Alice Cooper and hanging with some cool a$$ Pondo Army members in the process
Having Bacon come out of nowhere at the end of the Infamous Stringdusters to come up front

The absolute best moment of my Bonnaroo 2012 was reuniting with my son, Max, after having been estranged for 10 years.
Long, weird a$$ story I'll not go into on here.
It's Saturday afternoon, It's been a longish few days doing my "work", I'm standing in the grassy area next to The Academy while my friend Julia belly dances, and this face pops up up inches in front of my face.
I'm startled, thinking what's this. We look at each other a few moments and he says, "Dad?" I say, "Max?" And we grab each other. We let out all those stacked up tears.
We knew each other were going to be there because of Facebooking, had cell numbers, but AT&T service was severely lacking.
Saturday afternoon, peak festival attendance and he finds me. Divine providence is what that was. No if's ands or buts about it. Think of the odds.
Suffice to say that at that point my "work" didn't so much matter anymore. Max did. He was a festival kid from birth so he chimed right in, my kid in every sense of the word.
So we hung out, went here and there, hugged, cried, laughed, caught up on our lives.
Parting Sunday night was bittersweet, I back to my home and he off to Phish. In good Daddy fashion I said, "You be safe and text me when you get home." Monday, he did.
That was my "favorite moment(s) of Roo12"
Holy crap, that is beautiful! I am teary-eyed.
Thank you for sharing, and I am so happy you and Max found each other again.

Going to Brunch (wish I could have stayed longer)
Pondo, I was just a few feet behind you at Bad Brains but that crowd was nuts. I don't know what I was expecting but wow. Bad Brains> Flogging Molly completely drained me of energy until the end of RHCP. You may have been right to get out when you did.
