I should of joined campus radio back when I was in college.
By the time I got interested, it was too late.
I was in radio and honestly it was overrrated. so fucking cliquey and annoying. at least at salem state. like having my own show was fun but the other members were the most pretentious hipsters
Yeah it wasn't much different for me, but I just wanted to play whatever I wanted
Ever since Taylor Swift decided to sound more Newport-ish, Adele's new album puts her in Swift's territory of unlistenable songs about relationships going bad.

just found this thread while putting off writing an essay.
i've been working with my college station for about 10 months now, just finally started a show this semester and it's been a blast. i'm so glad i decided to do it.
i guess i'll leave a confession, i have vivid memories of begging my mom to go to Target so we could buy My World 2.0 by Justin Bieber. i wore that shit out and could still probably remember all the words to all of those songs.
the first vinyl i bought with my own money was pray for the wicked by panic at the disco.

I bought Vanilla Ice's To the Extreme CD at full price when it was released.
Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

I later sold it to a pawn shop for $2.
I had it on cassette, along with Milli Vanilli, Paula Abdul and MC Hammer.
MmmBop came on in my car this morning and I immediately flashed back to going to bed listening to it on my discman every night. Funny how I logged on to this thread being bumped.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I would happily unironically hear MMMBop and listen to it for at least 1:30

I had the Ice Ice Baby/Stop That Train VHS "single". So it had the videos for each of those songs. I got it so that I could practice my dance moves for the school dances and for this underage club we had called "Fast Lanes". Anyone who knows me can probably imagine freshman LLL trying to nail these moves. Too cold.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Vids or it didn’t happen.
I am currently working on Caroline Polachek’s choreography in “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings”. Once I get it down I’ll tape over my 1st wedding and play you the VHS.

Bang, cookin' up love, always on the run Bang, cookin' up love, always on the run They wanna know if I'm in the street Or if I still feel a way about the enemies If I went and died today, who'd remember me? Just keep it real with me, I don't need no sympathy I hate this industry, missin' sleep, been some weeks Countin' money up while they countin' sheep Used to picture me rollin', vividly Now everything I dream is everything you see Ridin' with the blick, thirty shots at least Keep it in my reach right up on the seat I try to teach but then these niggas think he tryna preach And I ain't got no time for nobody out here tryin' me

Judas Priest tonight kicked serious ass. Rob Halford at 71 still has it. we won free tickets on the radio and they impressed the hell out of me. I knew 4 of the 19 songs and enjoyed every minute.
Just learned that Weyes Blood used to play guitar in a band called Jackie O Motherfucker. Not only do I own those albums, I saw them multiple times. My mind is blown.
Until about maybe 2 months ago I legitimately had no idea that It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll) was an AC/DC song released in 1975 and not an original track/Jack Black pseudo-improv set from the 2003 CLASSIC School of Rock.

I let the strain do what you can't, I know it's hard out tryna reach me, huh I'm battling addiction, I'm deep in premonitions I'm clutching on my last dollars, I'm stretching common sense A pressure point a keeper so I question my existence Be assessing my involvement, second-guessing my delivery Lord, Ezekiel take the wheel, I'm flying in the young Out of luck, out of hope to fuck up
