I've got to change your mind on Action. He grows on you, his personality is hilarious and he would have the crowd going. Don't poo poo this because riff raff goes on it. Smoke a jernt listen to this and then come back with the review. 8ball and m would be fine too.
I'd like the hip hop acts to be as diverse as possible (sort of regional)
East Coast: Any/or all Joey Bada$$, Action Bronson, A$AP South: Big KRIT, Curren$y West Coast: Any of Black Hippy Midwest: KANYE! (suck it grudge-holding dead heads)

He reminds me of a fat rapper you'd see out here in Tennessee. That song would be onto something if it had Curren$y instead of Riff Raff. I like Tackitt's bonnaroo rap list
Maybe I'm getting old but I really am not into this whole new wave of hip hop artists. Gibbs, A$AP, Kendrick, etc. I didn't even like most the hip-hop last year aside from Black Star. If I had to pick one to be at roo though it'd definitely be Odd Future. Or better yet a Capt. Murphy ft. EARL show.
If you're not in to "new wave of hip hop artisits" but still want something fresh, def check out Joey Bada$$. When you name your mixtape 1999, you have some throwback aspirations.
Thanks for the recommendation. Definitely digging this more than the other names I mentioned. Only listened to a few songs so far, gonna get the whole mix tape soon.
Also, I don't care much for this Action Bronson guy. Hopefully a crowd will be at his tent to free up some space at a show I prefer to see. Lets get some Memphis rap such as 8ball & MJG
Good lord, man.
(Bonus, the market he goes into in the beginning I've been to 2348973589374589735 times, it used to be called Mike's Deli and it is aweeeeeeeesome.
The Weeknd just announced a new album for 2013. No sign of when exactly, but gives an arguement for him a little more wind. Not exactly hip-hop, but thought this thread may want to know

You don't like any of those vids/songs above?
That's pretty cool about the market. The second and third songs sound a little similar to me. He's alright. I guess its the simple beats. Growing up in the south, you get used to catchier beats while these are a little laid back and simpler. It's not like The Neptunes that gain your interest off the instrumental alone.
NY has almost always been about basic beats with emphasis on lyrical skill.
I realize different regions emphasize different stuff, but go back to Enter the Wu or Ready to Die and you won't hear intricate beats on most songs, mostly just a base line.
He's basically a shorter, fatter, whiter, more Albanian Ghostface (but not as talented). That's a compliment, FWIW.
Death Grips seriously cannot be overrated. I see more posts (all over the net, not just here) saying they suck, they're attention whores, people 'don't get the appeal', etc. than positive ones. Or at least that's how the last three months or so has felt.
Would love to see an Earl and Tyler show at roo. It seems like those two put out more of a bonnaroo vibe as opposed to the whole odd future crew, but would love to get them on the farm. I also fully endorse an Action Bronson set, he was with them at the OF carnival this past year so hopefully that will lend a helping hand in there somewhere! Also, was Kendrick Lamar last at roo in 2010? I know he has been there but not exactly sure of the year...

From someone who had a raucous time at their show... ya, it's a mixture of all of these and awesome crazy. Take from it what you will. (The drumming is nuts live; I think it's obvious that the MC's voice and general sense of meter pisses folks off)
Hanging out with his label mates Weezy and Drake. But seriously, Tribe and Leaders of the New School doing Scenario on repeat for an hour. I'd die a happy man.
So Bone Thugs-N-Harmony is doing a 20th anniversary tour featuring a tribute to Eazy-E. How do other Inforoosters feel about them. I personally would rather see them than WuTang. But if we could get both I wouldn't complain
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
