When contemplating shows, I always take into account when my next opportunity to see them would be. I've wanted to see The Who for a while now; I just have to consider if it will be worth the price. This would likely be the only time I'll ever get to see them.
Note, I would pay A LOT of money to see them play Tommy in it's entirety.

I'm also assuming the ticket prices will be astronomical. If it was just a regular Who show, I might give more of a look to the North Carolina date, but Quadrophenia is not my favorite Who album.
Off topic: 15 years ago I saw Metallica on the Load tour with Corrosion of Comformity opening. Tickets were $33 and I thought that was OUTRAGEOUS. Hell I saw Korn, Helmet, and a then unknown band called Limp Bizkit for $17.
That Metallica show still stands as a peak musical experience for me. I was 15 years old. I reach over the rail and caught some of Jason Newstead's sweat as it fell off his face.

Totally going to this. Only issue is that the Orlando date is the same day as Rush's only Florida date in Tampa. I can't miss this though, so it looks like I'll be making my first-ever trip to the BankAtlantic Center!
Also, I gotta say I'm quite glad they're starting in Florida (and that I'll be at their very first date, for that matter), as opposed to getting one of those February dates. I hate when bands announce the dates so far out like that. Reminds me when Coldplay announced their dates, that included my 6/28 date allllll the way back in mid-November last year. I have to imagine that's how RHCP fans felt too when they delayed their tour, pushing many of their dates back a LONG time. Quick research shows, for instance, Little Rock's date got pushed from 3/16 to 10/25 (which is horrendous considering the original dates were announced at the end of November. That's almost a full year of waiting). Tampa lucked out on that one though, considering it was just from 1/23 to 3/29 AND it became the opening tour date.
I figured that I should have created a separate thread for this rather than posting in upcoming events. The only date that is really doable for me is Nashville.

I just bought 4 floor seats for Nashville!
WIth the Fan CLub presale....which dont get me wrong is definately a racket...but you can sign up right there on the ticket page on ticketmaster. It just adds $50 to your order for it. But all in all 4 floor seats...sec 7.....even with that....like $438. Not terrible considering scalpers are already trying to sell floor tix for $600+.
I'm going to Nashville. We'll be in the cheap seats. Four of us split the fan club cost. It's a racket, but for $12 a head, it was worth it not to have to fight the on sale date crowd.
I'll probably get flamed for this, but I have never really gotten into the Who enough to go to any trouble, and certainly expense, to go and see them. I don't hate them - just don't feel whatever it is that most of you are feeling. If it were super cheap I might do it.
