Up All Night was so awesome, ahaha... I still watch some of those old telecasts. I also used to love the late night Joe Bob Briggs shows, the Movie Chanel one and the TNT one.
As for The Toxic Avenger... I remember it was the first R rated movie that I can remember seeing. I was a little boy and I loved the cartoon at the time, so I got my dad to rent it for me from the gas station/mom n pop video store in town, without any idea of what it was, just that it was a children's cartoon franchise. I remember watching the beginning of it (which I currently recollect as being in the gym with t and a all over the place). My mom walked through the living room as I was half watching this (I had no idea what was going on in the movie, I was so young) and my mom just exploded and ejected the tape, then proceeded to raise hell to my dad as to what kind of a tape he had just rented for his little boy.
When my mother was pregnant with me, her mother (my grandma for those keeping score at home) bought her a copy of Rosemary's Baby, thinking it was a sweet gesture. Gotta love either clueless or passive aggressive family members.
It will always be my favorite "scary" movie although I find it more creepy than scary.
And with Dokken rocking the title track of the Soundtrack, the cheese is out of control.
I came across this Dream Warriors tribute video recently:
That is easily one of the greatest things that I've ever found on youtube.
Most of my favorites have been mentioned. My top two are definitely Evil Dead II and Deal Alive (aka Braindead). I can enjoy pretty much all horror movies before the age of CG though.
My favorite two that have came out in the last 10 years would probably by Cabin in the Woods and Slither (don't think that one has been mentioned yet.).

Thread has been quiet for a minute...
Theres a new, I guess its an anthology. Its 26 short films by 26 different directors. Its called The ABCs of Death. Red Band trailer was released. Seems interesting and looks promising
I've mentioned this is the general movie discussion thread before, but if you haven't seen The Snowtown Murders, and you can stomach really gruesome stuff, give it a watch. You'll definitely have an opinion about it.
Also, just watched V/H/S. It started to pick in the final scenes... but... meh.
It's one of those movies that's hard to put in a category. It's rough, so it's easy to put in the horror category, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a horror.

Snowtown Murders" is an excellent film. Horror, it's not. Maybe more of a psychological thriller/true crime mystery, but definitely worth a watch. "I Saw The Devil" is great if you like Japanese horror/serial killer stuff. "Troll Hunter" is also really good. Not sure what genre it would be in but it's a lot better than it sounds
