Yea! This was a nice surprise last night. I had no idea such a thing even existed. Plus it's crazy to see so many great comedians all on the same shoot. They're all so young!
Thoughts on the new season of Wet Hot? I liked it lots but overall it was a tad too silly for me. I felt the movie had more dark absurdity to it, specifically the drug trip to town, "I can suck my own dick," and Andy murdering kids left and right. Him throwing the kid out the van after he says they're going to a big pizza party is one of my all time fav jokes. That stuff was kinda lacking in the show. My fav new addition was Michael Cera's character/story. Least fav was all the rich camp shit. Otherwise all the returning characters were up to good stuff. This sounds like I didn't like the show which ain't true, but there was a fair amount of stuff I wasn't into.
I feel like it will get better with time. Some of the jokes were a bit on the played out side but the new characters kept things fresh. Shout out to the family in the Delorean from episode #1
It gets easier to understand around the 4th or 5th episode. For the most part it's pretty good stuff and I love the variety of relationships depicted. Also, between this and OITNB I'm pretty sure that Netflix has made me realize that I'm attracted to trans girls.
PorchRadio said the same thing on Facebook about episode 4 or 5 being the breakthrough point of the season. I don't mind the weirdness though. Btw, I was curious about who was playing the trans character with the Wachowskis being involved in the project, and she is actually a trans woman.
I love the ending because you don't see it coming at all because you expect it to be historically accurate. One of my favorite internet fan theories is the one that says all the Tarantino movies are in the same universe, and the hyperviolent nature of society is due in a large part to how WW2 was ended by the Basterds rather than diplomacy our proper military tactics.
