The Leftovers S02E04
I'm trying so hard to like this season, but I just can't get into it for the life of me. Gonna try to get through episode 5 and then give up if it's still not caught my attention.

Just saw that this is now on Amazon Prime, and I've heard nothing but good things about it. Sill kinda pissed that I missed it when it was in theaters.

My plan was to watch this right before Season 2 started but then I forgot and now it's over. So now I guess I can binge watch it all if I make it further into season 1 then I did on my first try. It's not that I didn't enjoy the first few episodes, it just didn't really hold my interest enough to come back to it on a weekly basis.

The same thing happened to me, but it was much easier to watch it all at once rather than waiting for the new episode each week.

I'm pretty much ruined by modern tech. Watching something at a scheduled time almost never happens outside of Game of Thrones. But yeah, it helps to binge something this heavy.

I don't know if it's the technology that did it or just me generally shitty at watching television, but it's super difficult for me to watch anything on a weekly basis at a specific time. I love the show, but the day I watched episodes this season ranged anywhere from Sunday night to Saturday afternoon.

I've never been a huge TV watcher anyway but I was absolutely loyal to what I did watch. Which why I had tons of VHS tapes full of episodes of MST3K and Simpsons boxed up in my closest for years. But my obsessive personality made it easy to schedule time for whatever I truly liked. Those habits started slipping away around the time The Sopranos ended.
Anyway, the episode that focuses on the preacher(whose faith somehow leads to all sorts of self-destructive behavior) was excellent. I almost flipped out at the scene when that stupid drunk woman bet against him while he was on a run at the roulette table. That's not realistic at all. People would kill you for pulling some shit like that.
I really enjoyed Season 1 of this, but have not been enjoying Season 2 much at all. We watched the first four episodes, and I doubt we will finish it.
i really like this show, and enjoyed this season. i think all of the characters are very moving in their own way. the only thing i don't like about this season is the unwarranted nudity that seems to be going down.
