First episode had me skeptical, but I finished the whole season and it's pretty great. I thought Gus and Mickey, the two main characters, were a tad bit exaggerated (Gus being an exaggeration of the awkward guy, Mickey being an exaggeration of the wreckless woman), but the show made up for it with a lot of honesty elsewhere.
It's a cold and rainy day here in Buffalo. What better way to enjoy it than by curling up in front of a fire and watching the Bonnaroo 2004 Krewe of Roo "We Have Arrived" DVD? Oddly, there are no associated Google images to post...
Vinyl got a little better. Last night's was definitely my favorite episode of that show. I'm enjoying Olivia Wilde in it and the Alice Cooper scenes were nice.
I just love this show so much. I appreciate how honest it is; more so than most shows that attempt this kind of reality. The ending of last episode had me nearly welling-up and then laughing for two minutes afterwards. The Duplass brothers are excellent. I'll have to get into more of their stuff.

i've still only made it halfway through the first episode since it was so long. i'm gonna try to catch up soon though. i LOVE bobby cannavale, he stole my heart on boardwalk empire.

i've been hooked on this one since the first episode, and i'm always surprised that i never hear anyone else talking about it. it makes me happy and breaks my heart every week. you should watch animals if you aren't already. also, i recently watched "the one i love" with mark duplass and elisabeth moss and really enjoyed that as well.

well holy shit, anyone else watched Ray Donovan? Just finished season 3, we burned through the whole series to date over the past couple weeks. Fantastic show. Great writing, great performances. Took about 4 episodes to get it's hooks into us. I know it's gotten some buzz and some nominations but I never see anyone talking about it.
So far the best Showtime show I've seen. Loved Dexter for a while but it was the worst finale of all time, even worse than True Blood's. Homeland was amazing for a few seasons but we lost interest midway through this last season.
Anyway if you love crime drama and family drama, you'll love Ray Donovan.
