Clowns are scary, and I have a soft spot for 80s horror cheese.
Maybe stick to Killer Klowns From Outer Space?
That is a classic. This one reminds me more of the first Sleepaway Camp. Super extra gore with a blend of stereotypes and complete bizarro in the cast of characters
Edit: the further I get, the weirder it gets. Really not sure what i think of this one. Need SupeЯfuЯЯyanimal or Bishop to weigh in

I've actually never seen it. I watched Terrified which is some Argentinian horror movie Shudder bought the rights to, so I kinda forgot this was a different thing. haha.
That other one was pretty damn good. Like a mix of a haunted house movie and a detective story.

It's on Netflix. If you happen to check it out, let me know what you think. Just finished. It was a lot.
Terrifier. Given time to mull it over, it's definitely a movie I'm split on. I think the concept of Art the Clown delivers even better than I expected, and the actor behind him does well in the role. That being said, the script and other actors let him down. I understand they were going heavy on the homage to 80s slasher movies, but several of the actors were bad bad rather than campy bad. Also, a couple scenes were excessive for me, but that might just be me.
Some days, I have a tendency to fall down the rabbit hole of watching this performance on repeat... repeat... repeat... repeat... the last 2 minutes are perfection.

Anyone else that's into thriller/horror(ish) type of movies check out "The Invitation" on Netflix. It's best just to not even give an explanation of what it's about. The tension build up is insane, great movie.
