I watch Stranger things and BoJack Horseman on Netflix, love these shows. I watch Netflix US with vpn from veepn.com/unblock-netflix/ to bypass all restrictions and get access to the blocked content. That's so convy and it doesn't cost much.

Finally arrived! Although I like Dracula 2000 in pretty much everything I hadn't gotten around to his latest offerings. The trailer for this one was so stupid I sat through the previous jingoism festivals just to get here. Going to be hard to beat burning down most of the White House and killing a majority of the G8 leaders. What will our heroes do this time?
In the 80s you could just put whatever the fuck on a movie poster.
Mel Gibson has several movies that I enjoyed. I wish he wasn't human garbage so that I could bring myself to watch them.
Yeah, but this one is really Linda Hunt's show. Not just her acting, her dialogue is strait fire. Which is one of the things that makes the romantic novel posters so funny to me. A lot of deep stuff going on here.
Anyway, Criterion Channel has an Australian New Wave retrospective going this month. Going to try and watch them all.

Oliver Gruner is the Tommy Wiseau of 90s Van Damme clones. Althought Nemisis is actually better than Cyborg from what I remember. Regardless I watched Angel Town last night and I'm about to get 90s cyberpunked.
I recommened Angel Town for anyone who likes bad action movies where the villains have zero motivation to do what they are doing. These guys are so bad they end up sending a child to try and kill our hero in a drive-by. Also, this movie is an encyclopedia of negative stereotypes about Hispanics. But I honestly think the writer/director were maybe too incompetent to realize just how reactionary this stuff is. Anyway, just fucking watch it and laugh at this French-Olympian-grad student-former gangster-karate master.

There was a chance for this to be much much better than it is. In an attempt to make a satirical exploration of the cultural divides in America the writers failed to do much beyond creating a bunch of one-dimensional characters. It's hard to engage with this as political satire when it makes so little attempt to humanize the folks on either side of the conflict. I mean I don't really care. I love the Purge and it's super one-sided( plus, it's writers are actually political astute.) But The Purge isn't trying to make a statement about the culture war being mutually destructive. This movie apparently is?
Also, the dialogue is absolute dogshit. It's like Twitter comment level unoriginal.
