Occasionally I have one. Really surprised more musicians, other than meth-heads pounding garbage cans, don't do campground sets. It's a captive, open-minded, music-rabid audience.

I've thought about it before to be honest, but hesitated with moving forward because so many meth heads pound trash cans in situations like Bonnaroo. I saw Zach Deputy do a pretty sweet set in the campgrounds during 2007 I believe.
I'm sure you already know, but I support this! Campground set or festival, I'd be there. I seem to recall at least the Road To Bonnaroo contest fer local-ish acts, if not another contest as well.

The guy that books for Mercy Lounge which is the venue that hosts Road to Roo, books our band and holds us in high regards. He also has a say in the bands playing, so that is a realistic option. Probably our most realistic option.

Hey! We have it under good authority that we are in the running for the Nashville based contest for the road to bonnaroo. If we get on the show, our local fanbase is passionate and we stand a good chance of taking anyone in Nashville on. With that being said, AC, Bonnaroo, and BMI are the ones selecting the bands that compete.
So, Grass Root Kids have started a contest. The winner gets a free T-shirt, Stickers, Buttons, a free copy of our EP and a free copy of our super limited acoustic EP with songs that arent released that was only available to our $100 kickstarter supporters.
All anyone needs to do, is post on Bonnaroo's Facebook page that they want to see Grass Root Kids at Bonnaroo, and tag Grass Root Kid's FB page in the post. I figured Id post about it here, in case any of you all would be interested...
I was wondering who this band was, with all the people spamming Bonnaroo's Facebook page. Best of luck to you! I'll have to check out the soundcloud after I'm off work.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
