To be, or not to be: That is the question.
I've heard nothing but great things from GA and nothing but bad things from VIP's. I really hope there is one next year.
If there is one, does anyone know of some cheap, college kid-friendly places to stay/eat/sleep in the Pensacola Beach/Gulf Breeze/Pensacola area? The closer to the fest, the better.

Im really hoping to be its nice having a festival within 20 miles of my house. i had a great time in GA the only thing i have to complain about is all the drunk navy guys but there at any major event in this area.
as for places to stay i got nothing. places to eat try end of the line(vegan),ozones, peg leg petes, the handle bar is a pretty cool venue/bar. Cant really think of much else
It would be nice to have a hotel room within walking distance, but it is not as necessary for this fest as it is hangout, because it's not so gotdamn hot outside.
Best place to eat in P'cola is McGuire's Irish Pub. Incredible burgers and steaks. Everything on the menu is great really...they brew their own beer and their homemade root beer f'n rules.
Argh, the drunken Navy guys always cause problems at anything in Pcola. I won't even go to Civic Center shows anymore (not like they have anything cool lately anyways).....at NIN in '06 there pit was a straight combat zone. Totally ridiculous seeing a buncha military guys fistfighting everywhere in the pit.
At Deluna this shirtless Navy kid starts stroking my buddies hair from behind before Jane's Addiction. He has super long white hair and babes are always touching it so he was all digging it and turns around and it's some drunk bro. He flipped out.

I stayed at the Hilton with friends this year (breakfast buffet was totally worth it) but I doubt I could do that with at least 3 others.
Unfortunately, I still won't be old enough to enjoy McGuire's brewed beer by DeLuna 2013. It'll be Hangout 2014 when that happens.

If it's not the drunk Navy bros, it's the crazy Christian locals. They cray, yall.
Please visit this facebook page before you make a decision on Deluna Fest 2013. The VIP section was bad, but the reserve the right to change things without you knowing and that includes General Admission. I would never go back! www.facebook.com/#!/DelunaFest2012VipFraud?fref=ts There are about 1000 others that would also not go back. Please also check the Deluna Fest Facebook page for yourself as well. A lot of information on there. Just look through all of the comments. These include the GA Trolley cars and the VIP as well.
To be honest, McGuire's beer is subpar. Their food is what I really go for. If I lived in p'cola, I would be eating there once a week. Yeah, we got harassed by a bunch of christians hard when we left the fest friday night. caddyshaq yelled "Hail Saban!" at them.

You will understand what it is all about when you read the statements from people from all walks of life that were just there to see PJ or to attend the Deluna Fest. Deluna Fest organizers (in my opinion) should never be allowed to be in control of crowd control or a festival again!
Well this is good news, I had heard from someone who usually has good info that the fest was NOT happening, last week at a party for the Alabama BCS game.
The last thing I had heard was that they had already offered spots to two headliners and about 30-35% of the undercard, but no one had accepted an offer yet. I was also told that there would be no country acts this year if there was one.
I have on good authority that one of the offers to headline was Soundgarden. Someone had said something about Green Day, but I can't remember who that was.
Nice, I'd love to see Soundgarden there. I plan on buying an early bird ticket. I had too much fun last year. Watching Pearl Jam while knee deep in the gulf of Mexico was one of the best experiences ever.
I'm thinking they're either waiting for Midtown to announce their dates before announcing theirs and/or they are going to rely on a stacked undercard to draw a crowd and letting larger fest subs headline like My Morning Jacket, A Perfect Circle, QOTSA, etc. That's what I would do anyway and let Soundgarden be the biggest Headliner. No way they cough up 2M for f'n Green Day.
I would much rather have that happen. Willie Nelson was the headliner I saw in '10, Weezer & Jane's Addcition in '11. Pearl Jam and FF are pretty big in comparison.
Soundgarden/MMJ/WSP or something like that would be perfect.
Haha. I prefer DeLuna to Hangout because I'm really not into the whole jam band thing. It's just not for me. At DeLuna I can enjoy everything else Hangout has to offer and seemingly get more for it, I guess?
I just hope that guy was right. I love DeLuna and I really would like to see it get on track. I have made some of my best friends through going the last two years.

I really really hope that this festival happens in 2013....I cannot wait! I had a fantastic time in 2012 and the shows rocked my world. I know there are some unhappy people out there but can there every be anything better than being 9 rows from the stage for PJ (yes I had GA ticket)with your feet in the sand for enjoying your favorite band. The smaller venues were great too and if you needed a break there was never a line up at any of the bars....ever! Beverages were reasonable too(by festival standards). 7 of us rented a gorgeous Condo looking out on the gulf for around $200 each (Thurs - Mon). Spending the first half of the day Swimming in the Gulf before the 10min walk to the fest was fantastic!
I loved that a small stage was on the beach. I know some people didn't enjoy 2nd tier bands being on cement, but I loved getting down at the Heritage Stage on the sand with hardly anyone there.
