Alright, the metal has been good the past few years so let's keep it up.
Wishlist:
Neurosis The Melvins Electric Wizard Opeth Mastodon Godflesh Baroness Kylesa Cynic Bloodbath Gojira Meshuggah High on Fire Iron Maiden Russian Circles Torche Boris
If I had to guess, I'd bet on Torche, Converge and High on Fire as the most likely acts. With Baroness, who knows where they'll be by next summer with shows in the aftermath of the crash, I don't know if Mastodon will be touring (they've been on for a solid year plus already), same with Opeth.
I read somewhere that Baizley might lose his arm? Is there any truth to this?
I hope Converge and Neurosis are likely. Missed Converge the last couple of times they came around. Neurosis doesn't exactly "tour" as much as play a few scattered shows every few months, but with their new album on the way, hopefully they'll be hitting up some spots into next year and Bonnaroo are able to snag them.
Ha, last time I saw Converge was when they opened for Mastodon & Dethklok in ATL back in '09. After watching High on Fire, me and a friend went to get a beer and chill in the balcony for converge and two of my other friends were up close in the pit. We saw both of them get hit in the face during their first song and laughed our donkeys off. We also watched some fat guy lose his mind after several people kept fuggin' with him in the pit. Gotdamn, that was a good show. High on Fire were disappointing, but I still really want to see them again....in a smaller venue (and I will next month). Still haven't seen Neurosis. It's going to happen next year though...I can feel it.

I went to the Scion Rock Fest in Atlanta at the Masquerade back a few years ago, with most of the aforementioned bands, besides Dethclock. It was a smaller venue with wayyyy too many people for it's capacity. It was fine on the outside stage, but if you tried to go inside, it was unbearable. I stayed outside and saw Mastodon, Neurosis, High on Fire, Boris, Torche, Kylesa, and Pig Destroyer and had a much better time. Neurosis still remains the heaviest band I have ever seen, bar none... and they didn't even play most of their "heavy" material. They did play Times of Grace last though, and leveled the place. Love Mastodon, but felt bad that they had to follow that. Missed Converge because I was not about to try to fight my way inside the building.
gojira (they could definitely fit, they were so tight on this past tour) slayer gwar dillinger escape plan protest the hero converge (it has been a LONG time since I've seen them, would be awesome) i'd really like to see metalcore/deathcore make its introduction to roo, like: august burns red all shall perish upon a burning body born of osiris darkest hour
i think cephalic carnage could actually fit in really well at roo. they're a fun band to see, lots of grind core in them. oh add cattle decapitation in that category too, new album has some amazing clean vocals on it. lots of fun live as well.

I read his long post on the Baroness site and he says this:
"While I cannot lift a glass of water to my lips to drink with my left arm and hand, I am still able to play music with it. I picked up a guitar and played the day after I returned. Not without pain (for the time being), but the hand still acts out the creative impulses I give it. I’m told I was quite lucky to have regained any use at all of my hand and arm, though I have sustained quite extensive nerve damage. In spite of this and against my logic and reason, when I pick up an instrument, my hand remembers exactly what to do. It’s far from perfect, and will require a lot of therapy in order to recover mobility and strength, but I am encouraged by the ability I have been allowed. I do not believe in superstitious signs, but I am truly overwhelmed to have been granted the continued use of my hands."
I can't imagine that he will be able to tour in 2013, given the severity of his injuries but the body and mind are awesome, so who knows

I hope they bring a strong metal lineup this year. I would like to see Wolves in the Throne Room, Shadows Fall, Russian Circles, and maybe a bigger band like Maiden. I would like to see a main stage headlining metal band, but I can't think of one off hand who would fit the bill.
