Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Also, they're doing 10 this year. Assuming we get two a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (like two years ago, since we don't appear to be doing 12 days of Christmas/Roo clues like last year), that continues to put us on target for a lineup release on or around January 13 like last year.
Just an assumption though. We'll see how it plays out - anxious to see if they drop a clue Thursday now.
Since ticket prices this year went up again, and presale ended up being a little over $400, how much do you guys think normal GA prices will be about. $420? $430?

Presale GA went for $333.25 (with fees included), not a little over 400. I'm guessing regular post lineup GA will be a little under 400 with fees included.
then is the presale payment plan more??? Cause I got mine and it was 112+service fee or shipping or something that made it $126 and than 4 payments of $70 over the next couple of months

Mine was right at $350 once fees were included; where is the 333 number coming from?
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

sooooo do they charge more for the convenience of a payment plan or what. Cause I'm spending $112+70+70+70+70=$392. I'm pretty sure though that something else made it go up to $126 instead of $112(not sure but I feel like I remember this),regardless how is this presale price? Still either almost $400 or just over $400. I'm wondering if the convenience of a payment plan would mean they would charge more. I'm wondering if a regular payment plan (I did pre sale payment plan) is more also. If I knew this I think I would've just done the regular presale and pay it all at once. Cause than I don't see the point in a payment plan to make things easier if it's gonna be the same or more than a regular ticket price. Is a regular payment plan more than a regular ticket???

Yes, the payment plan is more expensive.
If you bought a presale ticket this time you paid a total of $334.40 ($299.50 ticket + $34.90 in fees)
After that allotment ran out, the T1 price was a total of $359.60 ($324.50 ticket + $34.90 in fees)
If you elected for the payment plan, you paid a total of $392 ($350 ticket + $42 in fees)
So yes, you did pay more both for the base ticket, and slightly higher for in the fees as well.
All these numbers came off Bonnaroo's website, so I don't remember how shipping factored into those numbers. I didn't do a presale this year.
Ah right, shipping was like $16 I think. So that would add up to 350.
But payment plans are almost always more expensive.... That's how they function: you get to pay in smaller chunks so as to not make a big dent in your savings all at once, but you end up paying more money at the end of it than you otherwise would bc you're buying a service of sorts (the gradual payment format) alongside the ticket itself.

thanks for answering me!!! Well balls, doesn't really seem like a presale to me then. Do you think the normal price will be the same or more than $400 than? Just speculation.

If you don't do a payment plan, I'd expect it to come out a bit cheaper than that. Like Rummy said, it's the price of doing a payment plan. Just like any form of credit, you're paying some sort of interest.
If someone were to do a payment plan later on, I wouldn't be surprised to see it come out slightly higher than what you paid.
I know in the past, they did a 4 tiered ticket pricing structure, it looks like they did away with that last year according to the OP. If that's the case, the T1 price I posted earlier might end up being the final price for the non payment plan.

gotcha, well now I know what to do/not to do for next year and try to just get the regular presale price before they sell out. Thanks for the clarification you guys. Even though doing this payment plan will help me save up money to spend at Roo easier. So I'm guessing like what you said tickets are gonna be around $375-$400(with shipping fee included). Just my guess.

Can someone tell me when the lineup was announced in January this year? I've forgotten, but I do remember them telling me Ben Folds was going. Of which I didn't care to see anyways.

January 13. All that info is on the first page of this thread.
Seems like there may be a correlation between how fast groop camping sells out and how crowded the fest is. 2013 2014 sold out same day or within a couple days and it's very crowded. 2015 it took more than a week and a half and not as crowded last year. Groop still not sold out so maybe not so crowded this year? Of course it probs just the price hikes that are lowering attendance
I wonder if the Artist Additions dates will be moved up this year a la Forecastlesque`? I guess it depends on how ticket sales are doing but there has to be a few good additions this year right?
