now my employer is screwing around with me and claiming that they didn't yet approve the time off that they already DID. I've had email problems with my work email lately that they are aware of and of course, as luck would have it, the proof is in emails that I can't retrieve. GRRRRRRRRRR does not quite sum it up. I will resolve this one way or the other.
I am going to have to bow out at this point. This one is just not going to work, on a lot of levels. I know I will see most of you wonderful people at some point this summer. Keep smiling! Is it spring yet?
did anyone else get an email saying that tickets were on the way? also, I think the time off issue is getting resolved, even if I have to change jobs to do it.
I didn't get the email but I'm stepping up my game for Wannee, I'm 100% in, the wife is in, we'll dress funny and camp as close to the rabbit hole as possible. When are you going to start setting up Scrog? I may come in early and help, I'll be due for a brain dump around then.
Sounds good FunkyMonkey, I am getting there on Sunday, maybe Saturday, I am going to land grab early and take my time setting up and enjoy the park and river some. Come by early, I could use some help. ;D
Brock you got 2 months, maybe things will be different then. I hope so, would love to have you down.
Zen, we need our Queen of <3, hope you do not have to switch jobs, ??? but do what you got to do.
Attention, The Original Wolfman Jess, a ticket to Wanee 2013 has been found, and it has your name on it! Again, we are only the messenger, but pack your best Wonderland outfit and come celebrate the un-birthdays and holiday under the Spanish Moss covered Oak and Pine tress at The Spirit Of the Suwannee Music Park.

Your Queen of Hearts will be reporting for duty come hell or high water, no worries. Even if I do change..(have 4 interviews already lined up) it will be with the express understanding that I am to be off for this trip, Wed-sun and hopefully Mon as a recovery day

Well that will get me off the fence . I will have to figure out a treat to bring for the group. Thanks Qsaroo, I will lead down the Nashville contingent, and we will tear that place up.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Gotta share with other excited people... I have been wanting to go to this fest for years, but I live in Toronto so it didn't seem like it was going to happen. Having a few beers with friends on Saturday night and discussing many happy Bonnaroos past I brought up Wanee. An hour later we had flights, tickets and a rental car booked!
Now to figure out logistics with flying and camping...
Yay for making the big trip! I've flown to fests twice now, and it wasn't too difficult. Just go with small, light gear. I packed everything in a cooler and checked the cooler. Then hit the grocery/liquor store when you get in.
Plus it helps to have heady folks like those around here that can share some of the bigger things.
I know there's a thread around here somewhere about flying into Roo...

Right on! That is how you do it. Now get out your best Wonderland outfit and get ready for a get down.
Great idea Clairity! I've been looking through the flying to roo threads as well and there's lots of good stuff. I think we will end up packing very light, buying some cheap gear and then giving it away at the end of the weekend.
Hmm... maybe I should try wearing my Wonderland outfit to cross the border.

Does anyone know if Wanee has a proximity clause? I know the ABB puts it on and I just can't see them bothering with something like. Just wondering if Panic will play the Hangout Fest.

I doubt it will be an issue. They played both fests in 2011.

Hello everyone! Some friends and I were thinking about going to Wanee for the first time this year and I just had a couple questions, i apologize if some of them are really dumb. So this is a camping festi right? How close do you camp to the festival site? Am i correct in seeing that this festival only runs thursday thru saturday with no music on sunday? Finally, what's up with all the alice in wonderland stuff?

Yes it is a camping fest. Camping in the woods, close to the stages as it isn't a very large fest.
No music on Sunday.
The Alice In Wonderland stuff is a them camp we are putting together. If you are looking for a fun group to camp with, join us.
Camping is on site, walks can be from 5 to 20 minutes roughly and Alice in Wonderland is a theme party of sorts curated by Scrog. If you read through you'll figure it out. If you go to SOSMP you should definitely stop by
