I was just thinking last night that I leave in SIXTEEN days!! I haven't started a Wanee pile, I haven't finished my costume.. I don't even know how I am getting to the airport... crunch time! And my sister will be here from California for a week (over which time my mother turns 60 and other such awesome family shenanigans), so that limits my free time even more!

I would count on as high as 85 during the day, probably a bit cooler but certainly a possible, and as low as 50 at night although we've been in the mid 60s for a while and that is more likely. Also be prepared for rain, it can happen at any time although doesn't generally last long.

Ergh. Y'all are freaking me out. I at least went through my gear checklist over the weekend, but I have a million craft projects started, and none finished. This calls for a list!
Duh on me... bonz... if you have a small case that you need added to your wannee pile - quacker and i are driving down.. But we leave next tues night/wed am so we would have to hook up by then to pass the package. We have to do some shopping down there - prob on tuesday. PM me if you need me to shop. We will have plenty o room in the SF by then. Wed we will head up to wannee from the villages. Hopefully early enough for some dumpsta funkin.
I'm in serious freak out list mode as i need the house and yard to be in shape before we leave. House needs to be clean for the live in sitter, need to mulch the gardens - end of April when we get home is just too late to do this. Finish up the last bits of projects and and and and about 80 other things in 8 days. Weeeeee.

I'd swing thru and pick you up, but with fuel costs today it is significantly cheaper to fly into Orlando. I don't know if its all the extra business they get from Disney, but that destination is cheaper by far than any of the other surrounding cities I've seen. I hope you make it Jess. Good luck.

Thanks, Fawnita! I thiiiiink I might be okay (but I'll let you know if I need gear transportation help! Zen has my back as far as tent and sleeping gear goes (mojoworks- thanks for the tent offer, but I am covered!). Unfortunately, I am not able to aid the campsite as far as EZ Up, chairs, etc... sorry! If we really need chairs, I can stop off and pick some up on the way down to SOSMP from ATL. I am also hoping that enough people have extra coolers? I'll help fill them with bevs and tasty noms, of course.

Thoughts?

Down south would be great as Quacker and I leave next tues night/wed am for the trek. IF Scroggie has any concerns - i know he will be packed to the max.. I'll offer up mom's address in the villages as we will be there for several days before wannee.
If Scrog has an issue, there are plenty of people who are driving that could possibly be the official transporter? I don't want to offer up names, but there are more than one or two of you

@bonz, I would not worry about rain boots and flying in I would not worry about a chair. There will be extra ones. and I for one will have extra cooler space for anyone to use. If everyone could bring an extra chair, we will have more than enough. Yes, everyone bring that extra chair if you got it and it does not have to be a camping chair either, our mad hatters table could use an eclectic chair or two as well.
Remember to bring extra tapestries.

I can bring an extra table, maybe two. I can also swing an extra chair or two and some cooler space. I was disappointed to see how few tapestries survived over the years, I may have one or two that are worth blocking out the sun.

ROLL CALL!!! Short-Cut Camp ROLL CALL!!! We are having Roll call! but it is on facebook. If you want a camping spot with Short Cut Camp and you are not on the facebook list, we need to know. We are planning a breakfast on Thursday and some finger foods for the Unbirthday party on Friday at Noon. We could use some supplies and help with these events. Also, I know short notice, but I could use and an extra Tutu or two. I am going to get some good ole' southern rock, country lovers to wear Tutus. It will be there first time.
We would need chips, and fruit and finger food and cups and plates and napkins and such, if you have an extra grill we could use another one or two of those. We will start planning this hear real soon.

Will post over on FB as well. Quacker and I have volunteered to put on Bryans' Birthday Breakfast on thursday morning. Assuming the travel fates will be good to us here's the thursday am breakfast plan. As long as we can get the space - hint hint hint B.. we will have the big EZ up set up with the screen house sides. Inside a table for cooking and one for serving.
I have chafing (sp?) pans and fuel to keep fuds warm - buffet style. Since Scroggie is a carnivore - Bacon, Sausage, scrambled eggs, homefries, fruit. We will do some eggs to order as well. There will also be fresh perced coffee and tea. YAY for the new camping coffee maker!
Possibly some toast as well. Still working on that part.
(Quacker drinks french roast coffee so that is what I'll be brewing. If other coffee drinkers have other preferences more than happy to crank up the coffee pot with whatever coffee you bring. Have packed a decent sized pump action keep the coffee hot thingy.)
We have or will have everything we need to do the above EXCEPT coffee cups. Bring your own please! I cant stand to even touch the styro cups. Ick!
friday noon - please see Scrog's post above. Could use more help with that! We will get some type of party tray - cheese/crackers or some such thing, and can brew tea in the coffee maker as well.
We have tentative plans for saturday day to make a bunch of grilled cheeseys to be shared with folks out on the short cut path. Will know if this is a go/no go by wannee wednesday.
