Do they do a payment plan like Bear Creek? If not, $25 extra down the road is better than dropping $200 next week. Detti got bills and just had a huge unexpected expense kick me in the balls.

I went last year, was well worth the trip. You can check spirit airlines if you don't want to drive. Although the nearest airport is not that close. You might look to find someone to ride share. Also great thing is you can get there Wednesday morning and get a great spot, lots of shade. Seeing two shows of Furthur and two shows of Allmans made it worth it for me. I'm expecting Allmans of course and maybe one night of Furthur one night of Phil and Friends, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, and maybe a Weir, Robinson, Green trio.
Wanee is looking like it's going to happen for me this year too! Can't think of a better way to start my festival season with so many of y'all planning on going!
Called the park about Blackwater because it still hasn't popped up on the schedule. I called a couples months back and they said its be in March. Today they said "it's not on the schedule so I have no information about that". For a fest that is supposedly going to be in March... I don't like this development.
No worries, you are gonna love SOSMP. Make sure you bring your best Alice in wonderland outfit. I am sure you have something special. Looking forward to it, You will have a great time! I am excited for the new Inforoo additions. ;D
Nice double BUMP! Now GL get your double bump down here!
According to the Wanee boards you can add Cope to the lineup probably playing Thursday night. Also, WSP is heavily rumored to be playing 2 nights and SCI playing one night. Mildly rumored Jeff Beck and Joe Walsh.
Clapton seems very unlikely to me. He's kind of too big for Wanee really, and he is playing Jacksonville roughly a month before the fest, which is about an hour drive away.
Just doesn't make any sense to me, but I would like to see him there. It'd be a great setting for Clapton. Sunset set would be nice
^^ Yes I would take a Clapton sunset show in the spot Robert Plant had. But do you think Clapton would really be likely to open for ABB?
I mean, idk how the egos of rock stars duke this kind of thing out, but personally, I see festivals as a different animal. If Clapton and ABB were playing an arena, is think Clapton plays last. However, at a festival, you can take some liberties because its different. Prime example is The Beach Boys opening for.... Bon Iver??!! Yeah, doesn't really fit. But at a fest, it's fine. I would really like for festivals to place bands according to what time they would be enjoyable to see instead of sticking to an outdated formula.
Like, why couldn't Tom Petty or Phish play a set during sunset on the What stage? How about Gary Clark Jr playing a true sunrise set on Which? How about Warren Haynes playing a sunrise set at the lake? How about Jeff Beck playing the traveling stage at sunset?
You get the idea.
So, to make a short answer longer, I think Clapton playing the peach stage before ABB would be fantastic

Clapton has sat in on Beacon Runs. Given his history with Duane I don't think he would care what slot he would be given at Wanee, and he'd probably do it for less money then he would normally get.
Having said that I don't see any reason why he would play Wanee either. as was already mentioned the tour dates don't line up.
Scroggie any other big rumors? I love the clap one, what would be a ' huge' add outside of ABB, WSP, or SCI?
Other than SCI, which a lot of people want, including me, I saw the Clapton Rumor on the Wanee board a while back, so I checked it out and found it to be some what possible. Eric Clapton's Cross Roads Guitar Fest at MSG in NYC is the weekend before Wanee, April 12th-13th. Along with a boatload of other greats, ABB and EC will be playing at that fest. The week after that is Wanee and then according to EC's tour schedule, he is not due in Ireland, for the start of a European tour, until May 9th. so Clapton has that time off. Will he play Wanee? I could see it more of "pleasure" for Clapton to play Wanee than business or money. I could see him playing before and during ABB's set. Will it happen? I do not know, but it looks good and sounds nice! ;D As does some others on the Crossroads fest line up! would love to see some Gary Clark Jr.! (who's schedule is open after Crossroads)
We can take Black Crowes off the list, they will be in Nashville on 4/20 and up that way the nights before and they will be in Florida the week after Wanee.
I would f'n love a Gary Clark Jr. show at the Mushroom Stage! Anytime of day/night, bring it!! The Shroom stage spot right before ABB would be perfect. Everyone would be good and melty heading into the Brothers.
This year's was stupid having EOTO before ABB. I hope they chill on this jamtronica crap for 2013. Wanee should be a roots rock fest. Keep the spunion untz kids out.
I'm thinking Clapton is just too big for Wanee. Still I'd love to see him there. Gary Clark Jr would be great. I'd like to find out if he can jam with some other musicians.
I agree about Clapton being too big. I read on PT that Neil Young played SOSMP in like '99 or '00 and like 40K+ showed up, people were having to park on the highway and hike in.
I feel like Clapton there would bring in a buttload of more chairpeople to get in the way of dancing.
I am SO in for helping out with costumes, decorations, etc. More than happy to help ease some of the demand on Lady Mayo if i can.
Scroggie - see your pm on the dining table. I could do the whole table top - dishes, cups etc with soft sculps, and attach to the table cloth so it can be rolled out, stay secure etc. Costoms - happy to help there too. Been itching to fire up the sewing machine!
Scrog - I can make a whole bunch of these for decorating along with the sign 'dont step on the Mome Raths'.
The Mome Raths appear in the Tulgey Wood scene when Alice loses hope she sees the hammer and pencil birds nailing a sign diagonaly across a low tree. The sign read.Don't step on the Mome Raths. The Mome Raths gather around and make an arrow formation. They point to a pink path that leads out of Tulgey Wood and Alice exclaims she can make it home for tea,but a dog made out of a broom dusts the path away.
