Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think that Moose200x guy is a poster here actually.
On another note, it's early November guys. I think the emails, tweets, etc out to bands can wait a while. The large majority of acts will not be booked for quite some time. If I remember correctly, this thread really took off in January last year.
ITM, if it is not to much trouble can you post the links next to each artists of denies or confirms. If it is don't worry about, but it helped out last year
I'm already doing that. It says "Source" next to each name that's listed which will have either the post link on here or a site where it's confirmed/denied.

Totally. This thread should be slow for a little while. Just kinda got started since a member of the Coachella boards talked to a band member and said they'd be at Roo. No need to really contact yet...but if you get any info from a live show or something feel free to share

I spoke to Derek from Sleigh Bells last night before the show in Bowling Green and he said they wanted to come back but already have something planned during Bonnaroo, but he is hoping to return the year after

I never felt comfortable with the lying and the group bombardment... that kind of volume that we produced on our requests is kinda crazy when you think about it. And we definitely had many different people using the same sad story for information, all these agents and bands and managers had to figure out down the line that this was an organized effort.
That being said--- Here's a silent outcome of all this: I think it sparks interest in Bonnaroo with bands that may or may not have even heard of our festival.
Let's say your a band, and then hundreds of your fans suddenly ask you "BONNAROO BONNAROO BONNAROO BONNAROO?" ...... maybe that makes that band suddenly WANT to play Bonnaroo, when before they were just completely indifferent.

Maybe but I still think it's a little much. Also, if you're a great band and you're into playing festivals but haven't heard of Bonnaroo...well, where the hell have you been? Obviously that's just my opinion, but really.

If you look through that thread you'll see that the number of people sending out emails and tweets wasn't actually many at all. The thread generated a lot of interest but there weren't that many people querying, nor were individual bands separately contacted more than a small handful of times.
That interview was just 3 months ago. No Robert Frip...No King Crimson. The closest you can hope for is Adrian Belew Power Trio, who played Moogfest in 2011.
Relax dude, people are going to be contacting bands with 0% chance of playing Roo because they like the act. It's going to happen many more times, so prepare yourself.
Not only did I fudge the spelling but I can't find that post where I called or referred to Juggs as "Walter" not too long after he changed his name. That shiz was weeks ago. + I like how Flanz went back and edited his post so it looks like I was the only one who fudged the spelling for the people that read this bullshit in the future.

Thanks for getting this thread going ITM.
I regret being on sabbatical for so long. My participation around the boards this season will probably be sporadic, I've got a lot more going on than I did this time last year and have a lot less free time, but I plan to contribute however and whenever I can.
Probably still a little premature to be sending out mass emails and tweets, but who knows. Love the effort.
