Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Our confirmation of Alt-J came from the Windish agency, who we later found out were trolling us. Depending on when they started trolling, the Alt-J info might have been bad (they initially denied Alt-J was playing, then moments later emailed a 2nd time saying they were in fact playing, and specifically on Thursday). No way to know for sure until the lineup drops.

Entirely possible that Alt-J does their dates through May 17th in England, then comes back to the States to do Sasquatch through Roo. That's a heavy touring schedule but they're on a major label so it's not too out of the ordinary.
But either way, big ups to Tom Windish for seed-of-doubting ya'll.
That's what I get for buying an Alt-J vinyl before I saw the lineup.
Does not make sense.
I don't have bottomless pockets, so I try and buy records for bands that I like that will also be on the farm. Had never heard of Alt-J before this thread, listened to them and went ahead and got the vinyl. While I'm happy I have it, I feel a little cheated that now it's ambiguous as to their presence in June. Not the end of the world. But not what I was going for
EDIT: of course I did just drop 37 on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Sasquatch -> Governors Ball -> Orion -> Bonnaroo
There are indeed a few "bigger" festivals during that time period.
wow what a morning: wake up to 7 pages of disappointment with the stones, nearly piss myself with joy over local natives, then you ruin all the happiness with alt-j. i really need to get off inforoo for a while.
I'm sure no one expected them to be back so soon, but it has been confirmed that Dispatch will not be returning this year. Direct from the band, they will be playing three festivals this year, one of which will be Firefly.

well if not Bonnaroo then you should come to BUKU in New Orleans to see Alt-J. cmon, the city needs money and that lineup is siiiiiiiick xo, someone who may or may not be an advocate for NOLA tourism
Rooin' since '05...(except 2014...worst June of my life!)

I didn't hit up inforoo last year until after the lineup was announced. And I kind of wished I'd done the same this year, but now I'm in. I have to check this daily now! So thanks to all that have done work and research! Especially G!

Hey fellow New Orleanian. I'm probably skipping Buku, but just out of curiosity, how much were tickets? Have they released the day by day tickets?
Do you only buy music from artists that play Bonnaroo? Or are you know just realizing how mediocre Alt-J is?
No I buy lots of different stuff. This one in particular was because I thought they'd be there.
My reasons for buying different records differ.
This is not weird at all to me. I still buy songs on Itunes or listen to artists on Spotify strictly because they are rumored to be at Roo any given year. I get disappointed, also, when they don't end up on the lineup. It is my way to figure out who I want to watch each year, and a way to get excited/familiar with them before hand.
I do it for a means of discovering new music, as well.
Can we just delete this thread and pretend like it never happened?
Stop reading and posting in it. Problem solved.
I was going to try hard not to read this thread this year, but I didn't have the will power. After OM+M became a possibility, it opened the flood gates and I checked it daily.
I am glad thought that the confirmations are now a trickle. Its forcing us to do what I did not have enough will power to do before: be somewhat surprised on lineup day.

not too bad. when i paid it was about 150 for both days. they just announced a few other acts too...flying lotus, daedelus, public enemy, sander van doorn, action bronson, dragonette, quickie mart. oh and a brass band adaptation of daft punk (brassft punk). I'm pretty stoked.
