More metal adjacent than metal (looking at past band members) but I'm freaking the fuck out and don't know where to post. If SL re-releases those albums Imma be broke for the year. If they announce a reunion tour Imma be broke forever.
If you don't know Enigine Kid, I suggest you get initiated.

Not familiar at all, will check them out tonight. Any particular album to start with?

My favorite was the last, Angel Wings. They reminded me of a heavier Slint. I have a feeling this news is about those C/Z Records getting reissued. Those are a good place too.

Surprised to see no mention of the passing of Riley Gale yet. He was a fucking force of nature and i’ll miss him terribly. And from all accounts sounded like a stand up individual too. RIP.

He was memorialized in the People Who Died Thread. This thread isn't very active overall.
Brann Dailor did a (very quick) unboxing of the new Paranoid Super Deluxe Edition vinyl on the Mastodon FB page and in it he mentioned the band was heading into the studio to record their "ninth.. or tenth.. or eleventh album. Or whatever." Idk if that's news, but it's the first I've heard of it.
On a somewhat separate note, it seems in the past couple years Deftones have become the metal band that people that don't really listen to that much metal cape for for clout. Been seeing some takes like "Deftones are better than Tool" lately and they definitely aren't, imo. They're fine. They have good songs. But they're not the band Tool is.
