Which artist left you stunned or speechless by a performance or simply by walking out on stage? For me the biggest one would probably be Eminem. I felt overwhelmed with nostalgia and joy when he walked out on stage in 2011. David Byrne(09) and Robert Plant(08) also gave me this feeling.

Robert Plant in 11 left me pretty star stuck Seeing Mumford my first time at Roo left me speechless after the performance they put on Every time I see DMB I feel like is a better performance then the last

While watching Robert Randolph bust Kanye out in 08, Robert Plant was standing with just the rail between us watching. All I could manage to do in that ridiculously lucky moment was to tap the person next to me and then point at Mr. Plant.

When I saw Ministry a few years back and Al Jorgenson walked out on stage, it was like fire ripped through all my veins. I was in my late 20s then and had been listening to Ministry since 6th grade.
Honestly everytime I see GPJ play with anybody it's like I'm transported to this pure magical heaven. And I've seen him plenty of times.
When Mike Gordon came out at The Deepest End with Mule my tiny corn-addled college kid brain shoved tears through my eyes.
When I saw Metallica for the 1st time in 2004 they opened their set with Blackened and went right into Creeping Death. That show also left me in awe. Last summer I went to Orion and James Hetfield was like maybe 15 feet away from me behind a small security rail shaking hands with fans. My 14 year old self was going bonkers on the inside.
I've only been star struck once and strangely I'm not even really a fan of hers. But when Beyonce walked out on stage with Jay at Coach, I couldn't help being taken back.

A friend invited me to a poker game at Steve Albini's Electric Audio where he happened to be recording Mclusky's Do Dallas record. Thought I was going to have a stroke.

I was pretty awestruck by Roky Erikson. I never thought I would get to see him but he did a small show in Louisville a few years ago. And maybe my first time seeing Bob Dylan
02/08 Tool 02/11 Jeff Mangum 02/17 of Montreal 02/29 Blind Pilot 03/31 The Naked & The Famous 05/14 M83 and I Break Horses 05/19 Flaming Lips, Young the Giant, Dawes and AWOLNATION 06/07 Bonnaroo 2012!!! 06/13 Roger Waters 07/28 Toadies
For me, it was the first time I met Henry Rollins. Someone who I not only was dying to see live but someone whom I had respected my whole life.
Rollins also tells the best masturbation joke I've ever heard. I don't remember what special it's on, but it involves a helmet and him waking up in the street.

when i was 14 i was completely obsessed with nirvana. so needless to say the first time i saw foo fighters dave grohls presence made me tear up a tiny bit.
I think my starstruck concert was seeing The Who in Springfield Mass in 1975. Daltry was an amazing front man but Townsend, Entwhistle and Moon all had a presence that just flew off the stage.

Damn you quacker! I envy you. The first time I saw The Who was in 2010 in LA. But, my moment was Roger Waters in Denver 2012.

Haha. It's one of the few benefits of being old. I also saw Pink Floyd at the Palace Theater in Waterbury CT in 1973 on their original DSotM tour which has to be a close 2nd. I'm still holding out hope for a Waters-Gilmour reunioun. I'd be there in a heartbeat.
Modernwise I think it's seeing Plant with Alison Kraus at Roo. I was awed that he could still bring it and bring it well at his age.

Yeah no doubt I saw Pink Floyd without Roger Waters in 94 and I about went nuts. And that Plant and Krauss Show was fire to I have a bootleg of it in my car
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
Prob a secret show in Nashville a few years back that featured Skrillex, Zedd, and Porter Robinson all on the decks at the same time. Right before they all blew up. Venue only filled about 150 people. Was super cool.
For me it would be seeing Jeff Mangum at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA last year. The word ineffable exists for moments like that one.
Yep, me too. The first time he really unleashed his voice (it was either Two Headed Boy or The King Of Carrot Flowers, I can't remember which) I was completely blown away. And he was so nice and talkative on stage. I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't that.
I met Ira from Yo La Tengo on Friday before their show and I got kind of starstruck. He was just chilling at the merch booth, selling stuff. It took me a second to get the words out of my mouth to say something. Very nice guy, btw.

Made in America was my first Pearl Jam show. Tell ya what, first time festivals after doing Roo for 4 years was the easiest crowd to navigate. Sat in main stage all of Sunday. Saw Run DMC kill it, drake was descent, and after the drake crowd left(alot of people) i ended up 10 feet from Ed. Amazing! A band that popular still performing like the coming of grunge was spectacular. Eddie was loaded and stumbling about, Jeff laughing at him, Matt Cameron being the diesel drummer he is, mike and stone shredding...WOW ...ill admit, KOL's headlining year i felt the same way. You could see the adolescents of their stage presence but the absolutely enormous amount of fun they were having made up for it and made for a great show. PJ perfected having fun on stage and keeps tgem the high caliber band they are. Starstruck...
